A parking support system of a vehicle, comprises: a detection unit configured to detect information of a periphery of the vehicle; a control unit configured to control, based on the information detected by the detection unit, a parking space entry operation of the vehicle to a parking space and a parking space exit operation of the vehicle from the parking space; and a stationary state control unit configured to maintain a stationary state of the vehicle after one of the parking space entry operation and the parking space exit operation has been completed. The stationary state control unit maintains the stationary state by first maintenance control when the parking space entry operation has been completed and maintains the stationary state by second maintenance control, which is different from the first maintenance control when the parking space exit operation has been completed.

A vehicle control device includes: a shift-position-switching acceptance unit that accepts switching operation of the shift position of the transmission but does not accept switching operation from a shift position other than the first forward position and the second forward position to the second forward position without via the first forward position; and an automatic-parking control unit that, in a case of moving the vehicle forward during execution of automatic parking control in a state in which the shift position of the transmission is set at a shift position other than the first forward position and the second forward position, sets the shift position of the transmission to the first forward position to move the vehicle forward.

An automated-parking control unit includes: an environment recognizer to recognize environment of a vehicle; a behavior controller to execute behavior control inclusive of steering and acceleration/deceleration, based on recognized information; a brake hold instructor to suspend the vehicle with the behavior control and hold the vehicle suspended until receiving behavior-related operation by a driver; an automated-parking controller to set a reverse-steering position, based on a current position of the vehicle and a desired parking position decided by the driver, between the current position and the desired parking position, move the vehicle from the current position to the reverse-steering position, and execute stationary steering at the reverse-steering position; and a brake fluid pressure controller to increase a brake fluid pressure when stationary steering is executed at the reverse-steering position.

Parking assist system and vehicle with automated parking capability

A parking assist system for a vehicle includes a control device configured to control the vehicle to execute an automatic moving process for autonomously moving the vehicle from a current position to a target position. The control device is configured such that, in a case where a parking brake driving condition is satisfied when the control device stops the vehicle during movement to the target position in the automatic moving process and thereafter cancels the automatic moving process without permitting resumption of the movement of the vehicle, the control device switches a shift position of the shift device of the vehicle to a parking position and drives the parking brake device of the vehicle.

A parking assistance device including a recognition part configured to acquire recognition information through recognition of surroundings, a parking region determiner configured to determine a space between other vehicles as a parking region of the host vehicle based on the recognition information, an automatic parking controller configured to perform a parking operation to park the host vehicle in the parking region, and a parking location determiner. In response to determining that an entry width of the parking region is less than a predetermined value, the parking location determiner is configured to determine a parking location of the host vehicle in the parking region that is at a central location as viewed from an entry side of the parking region. In response to determining that the entry width is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, the parking location determiner is configured to determine the parking location that is closer to one of the other vehicles as viewed from the entry side.

Parking assistance device, parking assistance method, and computer program product

A steering motor generates a driving force based on a steering instruction from a travel control unit and applies a steering axial force to a rack shaft to thereby cause vehicle wheels to be steered. An action planning unit, through the travel control unit, initiates traveling at a starting position of parking on a movement path by suppressing the steering axial force to be less than a maximum driving force of the steering motor.

An automated parking movement path is generated such that a vehicle speed and a steering angle are set so as to enable a full steering axial force to be applied within a range of being less than a maximum driving force which depends on the temperature of a steering motor. Consequently, a load on the steering motor is suppressed, and thus a rise in the temperature of a steering motor is suppressed within the movement path from a movement starting position to a movement ending position.

A vehicle control device includes a control unit. In a state where a first electric motor generates electricity by rotating an internal combustion engine and a target driving force is decided based on an operation for an accelerator pedal, the control unit performs a first driving control in which driving of a vehicle by a first driving force, which is a driving force of a first driving device including the internal combustion engine and the first electric motor, is prioritized. In a state where the first electric motor generates electricity by rotating the internal combustion engine and the target driving force is decided without being based on the operation for the accelerator pedal, the control unit performs a second driving control in which driving of the vehicle by a second driving force, which is a driving force of a second driving device including a second electric motor, is prioritized.

A parking assist system includes a control device. The control device continues an automatic parking process as a driver releases an operation on a brake pedal in a case where an obstacle is detected in a suspension area and an operation amount of the brake pedal has been equal to or more than a second threshold. The control device causes a brake device to stop a vehicle with a second brake force and suspends the automatic parking process in a case where the obstacle is detected in the suspension area and the operation amount of the brake pedal is less than the second threshold. The control device causes the brake device to stop the vehicle and cancels the automatic parking process in a case where the obstacle is detected in a cancellation area and the operation amount of the brake pedal is less than a first threshold.

A parking assist system includes: a control device configured to control an autonomous parking operation to move a vehicle autonomously to a prescribed target parking position; and a vehicle state detecting device configured to detect a state of the vehicle. During control of the parking operation, when the control device determines that the state of the vehicle detected by the vehicle state detecting device is a prohibition state in which the parking operation should be prohibited, the control device executes a prohibition deceleration process to decelerate the vehicle so as to stop the vehicle. The control device is configured to set an upper limit on deceleration of the vehicle in the prohibition deceleration process to be larger than an upper limit on deceleration of the vehicle in a stop operation to stop the vehicle at the target parking position.

A parking assist system includes: a control device configured to control a vehicle, a vehicle position detecting device configured to detect a position of the vehicle; a shift device configured to be operated for changing a shift position; and a brake input member configured to be operated for driving a brake device. In a case where the vehicle is stopped at a position other than a target position and a switching position, the control device changes the shift position to a parking position or a neutral position unless a shift maintenance condition is satisfied. The shift maintenance condition includes at least one of condition (i) that the vehicle is stopped at a position out of a prescribed range according to an operation of the brake input member and a condition (ii) that a cause for which the vehicle has been stopped is removed.

A parking assist system includes: a display device configured to display a parking space candidate; and a control device configured to control a screen display of the display device, to set the parking space candidate selected by a user to a target parking space, to set a stop position where the vehicle should be stopped in the target parking space, and to execute a driving process to autonomously move the vehicle along a trajectory to the stop position. While executing the driving process, the control device causes the display device to display the trajectory and the stop position and determines whether the stop position is suitable based on external environment information. Upon determining that the stop position is not suitable, the control device corrects the stop position and causes the display device to display the stop position that has been corrected.

A movement path is regenerated within a movement capable region in accordance with an instruction to correct a movement path by a pointing unit, and the regenerated movement path is displayed on a display unit in a superimposed manner on a movement capable region for a user's own vehicle. As a result, without changing a parking space (position) in which a vehicle occupant desires to park, it is possible for parking to be performed along the desired movement path to the desired parking space.

When a driver performs a driving operation in the parking operation, a control unit of a parking assist device performs acceleration in accordance with the driving operation by the driver under a condition that a distance to a target stop position from a position of the own vehicle is larger than a predetermined distance, and after the acceleration, the control unit performs deceleration so that the own vehicle stops in a range to a limit stop position.
