In an electric motor cooling structure for cooling an electric motor provided in a power unit by jetting an oil to the electric motor, an oil passage for passing the oil therethrough is formed between a cover member covering the electric motor from outside and a lid member fitted to the cover member. The cover member is formed with a plurality of jet holes as through-holes communicating with the oil passage, and the plurality of jet holes are oriented in the same direction as an axial direction of the motor. The oil passage is formed in an annular shape as viewed in the axial direction of the electric motor. The cover member is formed with a second oil passage for supplying the oil to a rotary shaft of the electric motor. Such cooling structure efficiently cools the electric motor while suppressing processing cost with a simple oil passage structure.

Electric motor cooling structure

In an internal combustion engine in which a plurality of cylinders are arranged in series in a cylinder section, pressures of the cylinders can be detected by a smaller number of pressure sensors. An engine in which a plurality of cylinders are arranged in series in a cylinder section includes a communication path through which combustion chambers of the cylinders adjacent to each other communicate with each other, and a pressure sensor is disposed in the communication path.

Internal combustion engine

An air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine capable of increasing accuracy in detection of the temperature of the air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine by a temperature sensor and carrying out the warm-up operation after the start-up of the air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine favorably. The air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine includes cooling fins that are provided on the circumferences of a cylinder block and a cylinder head; and a cooling passage that is provided in a combustion chamber upper wall covering a combustion chamber of the cylinder head and is used for cooling the combustion chamber upper wall with lubrication oil. The air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine has a temperature sensor configured to detect the temperature of the air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine by detecting the temperature of oil. The temperature sensor faces a cooling oil outlet portion of the cooling passage.

Air/oil-cooled internal combustion engine

While enlargement of cover members attached to an engine body is avoided, the flexibility of the shapes of the cover members is increased and it is made possible to lead to a predetermined position drainage discharged from a cooling water pump attached to the external surface of a lateral wall of the engine body. A drainage discharge hole for discharging drainage is provided in a lower portion of a pump case. An engine side rib leads downward drainage discharged from the drainage discharge hole is integrally provided on an engine body forming part of the engine body so as to project from an external surface of a lateral surface thereof.

Structure for discharging water from cooling water pump in vehicle engine

A motorcycle with a spark plug unit disposed on a front side of a cylinder head wherein approaching the spark plug unit from the front side between a front wheel and the spark plug unit as well as a high-tension cord can be prevented, without increasing the front-rear length of the vehicle. The motorcycle includes an engine with a tubular section containing a spark plug that projects roughly in a forward direction from a front surface of a cylinder head. A spark plug cap which is connected to the spark plug in the inside of the tubular section with the high-tension cord connected to a side portion thereof is fitted to the tubular section. A portion of the tubular section which projects from the cylinder head is formed with a cutout for containing the high-tension cord and for directing the cord toward a lateral side of the tubular section.
