A vehicle includes a drive battery unit including a battery unit case, a pair of left and right battery side frames, and a plurality of fixing members. The drive battery unit is fixed to the vehicle. The battery unit case includes a left side wall and a right side wall. One of the pair of left and right battery side frames is disposed on a left side of the left side wall of the battery unit case. Another of the pair of left and right battery side frames is disposed on a right side of the right side wall of the battery unit case. Each of the fixing members is fixed to the pair of left and right battery side frames, and a length of each of the fixing members in the front-rear direction is longer than a length thereof in the vehicle width direction.

Battery mounting system for an electric vehicle

A vehicle substructure is capable of changing arrangement in a battery case depending on the type and/or size of batteries. The vehicle substructure includes: a battery case having a battery housed therein and including a bottomed case pan having an opening at a top thereof, and a case cover to close the opening of the case pan; a floor panel positioned above the battery case; a pair of right and left seat frames fixed to a top surface of the floor panel; and a battery cross member extending in a vehicle width direction in the battery case, fastened to the pair of right and left seat frames and fixed to the floor panel, wherein the pair of right and left seat frames extend in a vehicle front-rear direction and are provided with mounting holes in the vehicle front-rear direction for fastening the battery cross member.

Vehicle substructure for battery case

A vehicle body front structure includes a front side frame body provided on the front portion of the vehicle body, the front side frame including a front frame extending to the longitudinal direction and a rear frame extending downward from the rear end portion of the front frame to the rear direction, the rear portion of the front frame has a front bulkhead and a rear bulkhead which are longitudinally spaced from each other, a recessed portion which recesses the outside wall outside in the width direction of the vehicle to the inside in the width direction of the vehicle, and the recessed portion is positioned between the front bulkhead and the rear bulkhead.

Vehicle body front structure

There is provided a vehicle body front structure in which left and right frame side mounting members for connecting the rear ends of left and right bumper beam extensions are provided at the front ends. The left and right front side frames are formed from left and right side inner panels and left and right side outer panels. The left and right side outer panels are formed from left and right rear outer panels and left and right front outer panels. The left and right front outer panels are formed from left and right side plates, left and right upper plates, and left and right lower plates. At least one of the set of the left and right upper plates and the set of the left and right lower plates is formed by members different from the left and right side plates.

A vehicle body front structure includes left and right extension side mount members that are provided at rear ends of left and right bumper beam extensions of a front bumper beam and left and right front side frames whose front ends are coupled with the left and right extension side mount members, respectively. The vehicle body front structure further includes left and right gussets that are positioned on left and right corners between outer surfaces in a vehicle width direction of rear end portions of the left and right bumper beam extensions and the left and right extension side mount members, respectively. The left and right gussets are joined to the left and right bumper beam extensions, respectively. Strength of the left and right gussets is higher than strength of the left and right bumper beam extensions.

There is provided a vehicle body front structure including left and right mounting brackets provided at the rear ends of left and right bumper beam extensions of a front bumper beam, and left and right frame side mounting members connecting the rear ends of the left and right mounting brackets. The left and right frame side mounting members are provided at the front ends of left and right front side frames. The left and right mounting brackets are formed into an almost L shape by horizontal plate-like left and right joint plate portions and vertical plate-like left and right flanges, and each of the left and right mounting brackets is located on at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of each of the left and right bumper beam extensions.

In a vehicle body front structure, an operating unit that extends upward to raise a front hood by a predetermined amount when a vehicle collides against an obstacle in front is arranged in a dashboard upper configured to introduce outside air into an interior. The operating unit is mounted in a vehicle body so as to be displaced downward by an external force acting from above after extending upward. An opening portion for drain is provided in a bottom portion of the dashboard upper. The opening portion is arranged at a position where the operating unit can be moved downward by the external force acting from above after extending upward.
