An inkjet recording apparatus includes a tank forming an ink chamber and including an injection inlet, a recording head, a cover, a monitor, a cover sensor, an operation panel, and a controller. The controller controls operation of the recording head and the monitor. The controller performs decision processing deciding whether ink injection into the ink chamber after complement of an initial process is completed, and counts an amount of ink discharged from the recording head. The controller controls the monitor to display notification depending on the decision processing and the counted amount of discharged ink.

An image recording apparatus, including a body including a path to convey a sheet from a feeder tray to an ejection tray; a conveyer unit to convey the sheet; a recording unit to record an image on the sheet; and a controller to control the conveyer unit and the recording unit, is provided. Image recording apparatus with a sheet-ejection controllable mechanism

A contact member swingably moves about a swing axis to contact a recording medium stacked on a medium tray, and shifts to different states depending on volume of medium. A controller performs: a detection process of detecting the stacked volume based on signals of M times outputted from the sensor, the M times being a number of times that is larger than or equal to two times; a stack determination process of determining whether the recording medium is stacked on the medium tray based on signals of N times, the signals of N times being a part of the signals of the M times outputted from the sensor, the N times being a number of times that is smaller than M; and a sheet feeding process of controlling the feed roller to feed the recording medium, in response to determining that the recording medium is stacked on the medium tray.

Sheet feeder

There is provided an ink-jet printer including: a recording head; a power supply; and a controller. In a case that the controller obtains a maintenance instruction, the controller performs: boosting driving voltage to a target voltage value, in accordance with a first pattern; and applying the driving voltage to at least one of driving elements. In a case that the controller obtains an image recording instruction, the controller performs: boosting the driving voltage to the target voltage value, in accordance with a second pattern having a voltage boosting time shorter than the first pattern; and recording an image on a sheet by selectively applying the driving voltage, boosted to the target voltage value, to the driving elements.

Ink-jet printer

An image recording apparatus is configured such that, in response to receipt a first command designating recordation of an image on a first type sheet, a motor is driven in accordance with a first feeding condition, and in response to the first sensor not detecting the sheet until the motor rotates by a particular rotation amount, the motor is driven in accordance with a second feeding condition. Further, the controller causes the recorder to record an image, based on the first command, on the sheet which is fed as the motor is driven in accordance with the second feed condition, while, in response to the first sensor detecting the sheet before the motor rotates by the particular rotation amount, the controller does not record the image, based on the first command, on the sheet which is fed as the motor is driven in accordance with the first feeding condition.

In a printing system, an attached-time remaining sheet amount at detecting attachment of a sheet feed tray to the printing system is detected. And current remaining sheet amount at end of image printing is detected. Then, it is determined whether the attached-time sheet remaining amount is greater than a first threshold value. In response to determination that an attached-time sheet remaining amount is greater than a threshold value and the current remaining sheet amount is less than or equal to the threshold value, a controller executes an alert process corresponding to controlling a display to display an alert. Conveyance of a sheet in an inkjet recording apparatus may be stopped under various conditions. In one example, a control device of the inkjet recording apparatus may stop conveyance on the sheet depending on the image to be formed in one or more portions of the sheet. Alternatively or additionally, conveyance may be stopped based on an amount of ink ejected or to be ejected onto a sheet, or portion thereof. The conveyance stoppage control may be used in conjunction with a corrugate mechanism in some arrangements.
