Conventionally, useful processing cannot be performed using operation information on two or more sites. With an information processing device that includes: an operation information reception unit that receives one or more pieces of first operation information regarding a user on a first site, and one or more pieces of second operation information regarding the user on a second site; an attribute value acquisition unit that acquires a first attribute value of the user, using the one or more pieces of first operation information, and acquires a second attribute value of the user, using the one or more pieces of second operation information; and a site processing unit that performs predetermined processing on the first site or the second site, using the first attribute value and the second attribute value, it is possible to perform useful processing using operation information on two or more sites.

An apparatus for calculating a correlation between annotations includes a first obtaining unit configured to provide an annotator with a first data group capable of being evaluated to determine whether or not to attach annotations thereto, and obtaining a plurality of first confidence levels indicating certainty of the annotations in the first data group, the annotator outputting confidence levels indicating certainty of annotations to be attached to data when the data is given; a second obtaining unit configured to provide the annotator with a second data group used to calculate a correlation between the plurality of annotations, and thereby obtaining a plurality of second confidence levels indicating the certainty of the annotations in the second data group; and a computing unit configured to compute an estimated value of the correlation between the plurality of annotations based on the plurality of first and second confidence levels.

Calculating correlations between annotations

Embodiments relate to retrieving a document from a plurality of document groups in which mutually related documents are each included. An aspect includes acquiring a retrieval condition that includes a plurality of conditions and at least one logical operator that connects the plurality of conditions. Another aspect includes identifying, with respect to each condition of the plurality of conditions, a document group including a document satisfying the condition from among the plurality of document groups. Another aspect includes identifying a document that satisfies at least one condition. Another aspect includes determining a document that is a retrieval result by making a selection to omit or retain that depends on the at least one logical operator. Another aspect includes generating information showing the document that is the retrieval result based on the retrieval condition.

Group based document retrieval

An information processing system includes a number of database servers deployed onto a number of physical nodes in a distributed manner. Among the database servers, at least two servers taking care of data different from one another are deployed onto the same physical node and at least one server taking care of the same data as any of the at least two servers are deployed onto at least one other physical node. A distribution section distributes connections by monitoring load on each of the physical nodes and moving a connection with a client from a database server on a physical node with load heavier than a target to a database server on a physical node with load lighter than the target so that the connections are distributed to balance the load.

A computer-implemented method of processing a reified generic in an interface method written in a first programming language includes a processor accessing a definition and an invocation of the interface method from a memory device; the processor generating a definition of a general dispatch method in a second programming language; the processor generating definitions of special dispatch methods in the second programming language, each of the special dispatch methods corresponding to each primitive return type of the interface method the processor generating an invocation of either the general dispatch method or one of the special dispatch methods in the second programming language based on a return type of the interface method.

Processing reified generics in object-based programming environments

A system processes a reified generic. The system includes a memory device to store programming code in a first language, the programming code including a definition and an invocation of an interface method. The system also includes a processor to translate the programming code from the first language to a second language, generate a definition of a general dispatch method, generate definitions of special dispatch methods, each of the special dispatch methods corresponding to each primitive return type of the interface method, and generate an invocation of either the general dispatch method or one of the special dispatch methods based on a return type of the interface method.
