An opposed-piston engine includes: a cylinder; a one-side piston disposed inside the cylinder on one side in an axial direction; and an other-side piston disposed inside the cylinder on another side in the axial direction. Atop surface of the one-side piston has a one-side cavity recessed in a central portion. A top surface of the other-side piston has an other-side cavity recessed in a central portion. An outer peripheral edge of the one-side cavity is at least 0.1D1 away from an outer peripheral edge of the top surface of the one-side piston over the entire circumference, where D1 is a diameter of the top surface of the one-side piston. An outer peripheral edge of the other-side cavity is at least 0.1D2 away from an outer peripheral edge of the top surface of the other-side piston over the entire circumference, where D2 is a diameter of the top surface of the other-side piston.

Opposed-piston engine

An engine according to an embodiment includes at least one cylinder, at least one piston disposed in the at least one cylinder, a plurality of fuel injection valves disposed on the at least one cylinder, the plurality of fuel injection valves including a first fuel injection valve having a predetermined total hole area and a second fuel injection valve having a total hole area smaller than the total hole area of the first fuel injection valve, and a control device for controlling the first fuel injection valve and the second fuel injection valve according to a load of the engine.

A fuel injection control device according to an embodiment is a device for controlling fuel injection performed by a fuel injection device disposed in a cylinder of a two-stroke engine, comprising: a scavenging and exhaust gas state quantity acquisition part configured to acquire a parameter related to a state quantity of scavenging and exhaust gas in the cylinder; a swirl momentum calculation part configured to calculate a momentum of swirl generated in the cylinder on the basis of the parameter; and a fuel injection pressure calculation part configured to calculate an injection pressure of fuel from the fuel injection device corresponding to the momentum of swirl calculated by the swirl momentum calculation part.

Fuel injection control device

A precombustion-chamber type gas engine, comprising includes: a check valve disposed in the precombustion-chamber gas supply passage and configured to block a backflow of fuel gas from a precombustion chamber; a supply pressure control valve which is disposed on an upstream side of the check valve in the precombustion-chamber gas supply passage and which is capable of adjusting a pressure of the fuel gas to be supplied to the precombustion chamber; a torch strength information acquisition device configured to obtain torch strength information correlated to strength of a torch from the injection nozzle, on the basis of a pressure in the main chamber and a pressure in the precombustion chamber; a precombustion-chamber gas supply amount calculation device configured to calculate an amount of the fuel gas to be supplied to a precombustion-chamber gas supply amount, on the basis of the torch strength information and correlation information representing a correlation between the torch strength information, a thermal efficiency, and the precombustion-chamber gas supply amount; and a precombustion-chamber gas supply pressure control device configured to control the supply pressure control valve on the basis of the precombustion-chamber gas supply amount calculated by the precombustion-chamber gas supply amount calculation device.

Precombustion-chamber type gas engine and operation control method of same
