A gas tank comprises: a liner including a cylindrical body part, and a dome part, provided at each opposite ends of the body part; and a reinforcing layer covering an outer periphery of the liner. The reinforcing layer includes: at least one first fiber layer including a first reinforced section provided on an outer periphery of the body part, the first reinforced section being formed by winding fibers in such a manner that the fibers are interlaced with each other; and at least one second fiber layer including a second reinforced section provided on the outer periphery of the body part, the second reinforced section being formed by winding fibers at an angle determined in advance relative to a center axis of the liner.

Gas tank and method of manufacturing the same

A gas tank includes: a liner including a tubular body portion having a central axis and a dome portion being located at each of two ends of the body portion; and a reinforcing layer covering the outer periphery of the liner. The reinforcing layer includes at least one a first fiber layer. The first fiber layer includes, on an outer periphery of the body portion, a first reinforcing portion and a second reinforcing portion. The first reinforcing portion is a portion in which fibers are wound in a staggered weave pattern, and the second reinforcing portion is a portion in which the fibers are wound at a predetermined angle with respect to the central axis.

Gas tank and method for manufacturing the same

A high-pressure tank unit capable of securing the sealing property of a sealing member in the neck of the high-pressure tank. The tank unit includes a high-pressure tank and a connecting member connected to the high-pressure tank. The connecting member has an annular sealing member disposed between a liner and an insert portion and adapted to seal a housing space. The high-pressure tank has a tubular body disposed between the liner and reinforcing layer in a position facing the sealing member so as to surround the outer peripheral surface of the liner, the tubular body adapted to restrict radial deformation of the inner peripheral surface of the neck. The longitudinal modulus of the material along the circumferential direction of the tubular body is higher than each of the longitudinal moduli of the materials along the circumferential direction of the liner and reinforcing layer.

High-pressure tank unit

A high-pressure tank for storing a gas includes: a liner having a cylindrical opening; a reinforcing layer covering the liner; a mouthpiece including an external thread portion on an outer periphery thereof and externally fixed to the reinforcing layer covering the opening; a manifold including an inserted portion to be inserted into the opening so as to close the opening, an abutting surface configured to abut on an end face of the opening, and an internal thread portion on an inner periphery thereof to be screwed into the external thread portion of the mouthpiece; and a communicating path that allows the abutting surface of the manifold to communicate with an outside of the high-pressure tank.

High-pressure tank

An end of a shell forming a high-pressure container is opened to form an opening. A cap is disposed partially inside the opening to close the opening. A shell reinforcing layer having a first reinforcing layer that is made of a first fiber-reinforced resin having a fiber direction oriented in a circumferential direction, and a second reinforcing layer that is integrated with the first reinforcing layer and made of a second fiber-reinforced resin having a fiber direction oriented in an axial direction, is wrapped in layers around an outer circumferential surface of the shell. The second reinforcing layer is placed over a region of the first reinforcing layer.

High-pressure container and shell reinforcing layer wrapping method

A connection structure for pressure vessels is configured such that respective mouth pieces are connected to at least one ends of the pressure vessels, and when adjacent mouth pieces are connected to each other in an intersection direction intersecting with the axial direction, the pressure vessels placed in parallel can be connected to each other. The mouth piece includes a connecting portion along the intersection direction intersecting with the axial direction. The connecting portion includes an external screw thread portion formed on a first side thereof, and a nut rotatably locked to a second side thereof and having an internal screw thread portion threadedly engageable with the external screw thread portion.
