The present disclosure provides a technique capable of ensuring good visibility when introducing an embolic agent and reducing the visibility after introduction. Provided is an embolic agent kit. The embolic agent kit includes: a catheter having an inner cavity; a reaction product of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a crosslinking agent, which is filled in the inner cavity; and a priming solution containing a visualization agent and configured to prime an inside of the catheter.

Embolic agent kit

An embolic material which prevents flow of a biological fluid by being placed in a body lumen via a catheter, the embolic material comprising a material that swells by contacting the biological fluid. The embolic material includes a long filler that is formed smaller than an inner diameter of the catheter. The filler prevents the flow of the biological fluid by bending when brought into contact with the biological fluid due to the difference in swelling characteristics between a first side portion and a second side portion that extend parallel to one another in a longitudinal direction.

Embolus material and method of manufacturing the same

A medical device has a rotatable drive shaft, a rotary body whose distal end includes a cutting edge for applying a cutting force to a stenosed site, and that is disposed on a distal side of the drive shaft so as to be rotated in conjunction with rotation of the drive shaft, and a distal member disposed in the rotary body. The distal member has a support portion extending to a distal side beyond a distal end of the rotary body, and configured to be capable of supporting the rotary body with respect to a blood vessel. The support portion is configured so that a distance from the rotary body is variable in a first direction (height direction) in which the rotary body is moved close to the stenosed site.

Medical device and treatment method

A medical device has a rotatable drive shaft, a rotary body that includes a cutting edge for applying a cutting force to a stenosed site, and that is disposed on a distal side of the drive shaft so as to be rotated in conjunction with rotation of the drive shaft, a switching portion whose distal end is disposed at a position protruding from the cutting edge, and a holding portion that holds the switching portion so as to move the switching portion on the same plane as the cutting edge or to a position away from the stenosed site beyond the cutting edge in accordance with a pushing force, when the switching portion is pushed against the stenosed site.
