In the event of external charging where a charging device charges a power storage device with electric power from an external electric power source, a current indication for the external charging is transmitted to the charging device. In this case, in the event of the external charging, a response speed of the charging device is estimated based on change of current in the power storage device due to change of the current indication after start of charging, and the current indication is set in consideration of the response speed of the charging device after the response speed of the charging device is estimated.

As two battery cells adjacent to each other among the plurality of laminated battery cells, two adjacent battery cells connected in series and two adjacent battery cells connected in parallel are included, and an insulating material for insulating the adjacent battery cells from each other is arranged between the two adjacent battery cells connected in series among the two battery cells adjacent to each other but the insulating material is not arranged between the two adjacent battery cells connected in parallel among the two battery cells adjacent to each other.
