A display apparatus has a display panel having a display region, a light shielding region surrounding the display region, and an outer region located outside of the light shielding region; a support frame disposed at a rear surface side of the display panel, the support frame including a panel supporting portion which supports a peripheral portion of the display panel from a rear side, and an extension beginning from the panel supporting portion and extending away from the display panel; and a light shield disposed at the rear surface side of the display panel, the light shield including a light-shielding portion which is disposed between the display panel and the support frame, the light-shielding portion extending so as to overlap at least a portion of the light shielding region and the outer region of the display panel as viewed from a normal direction of the display panel, and a fixture portion beginning from the light-shielding portion and extending away from the display panel, the fixture portion being fixed to the extension of the support frame.

A lighting device, comprising a light guide plate being housed in a casing with an opening and having one surface facing the opening, and a light source placed to face a side surface of the light guide plate, and emitting, from the one surface of the light guide plate, light emitted from the light source and entering the light guide plate through the side surface, comprising a frame body covering an edge of the one surface of the light guide plate from a side of the one surface, wherein the frame body has a rib facing at least a part of a side surface of the light guide plate, except for a side surface at a side proximal to the light source, and extending toward a bottom surface of the casing, and the rib is configured to be capable of being bent by pressing force from the light guide plate.

Lighting device and display apparatus

A light source module includes a substrate on which a light source is mounted, a light guide plate having one surface configured to emit light made incident from a side surface of the light guide plate opposed to the light source, a support configured to support the substrate at an opposite surface opposed to the side surface of the light guide plate, and an attachment member configured to attach the substrate to the support, wherein the attachment member includes a latch part to be latched to the support and a holding part configured to hold the substrate between the opposite surface and the holding part, and a height of the holding part that is holding the substrate from a surface of the substrate is higher than a height of the light source from the surface of the substrate.

A backlight device including an optical sheet diffusing and outputting light from a light guide plate, a frame member having an opening corresponding to a light output surface of the light guide plate, the frame member being provided between the light guide plate and the optical sheet to secure a positional relationship therebetween. The device also includes a plurality of securing members provided at a peripheral edge of the frame member, which secure the optical sheet, are each coupled with the frame member via a thin hinge, and each include a pressing portion having a hole, where the pressing portion presses the optical sheet to the frame member. The frame member is provided with protrusions respectively fit into the holes. The optical sheet includes perforations, and the protrusions are inserted through the perforations and fit into the holes, and the pressing portions press the optical sheet to the frame member.

Backlight device and liquid crystal display apparatus

Provided are a compact and inexpensive backlight device that can prevent a large movement of an optical sheet, and a display apparatus including the backlight device. In a backlight device, light emitted by the plurality of LEDs enters an upper end face of a light guide plate, and the light guide plate emits the light from one plane. The optical sheet faces one plane of the light guide plate. A cover body is provided between one plane of the light guide plate and the optical sheet, and covers the plurality of LEDs and the circumferential part of one plane of the light guide plate on the LED side. A regulation member is engaged with each of the optical sheet and the cover body to regulate a movement of the optical sheet in the plane direction.

Backlight device and display apparatus

A plurality of LEDs emit light to a right end surface of a light guide plate. The light guide plate emits the light from a front surface, the light being made incident on the right end surface. The heat dissipater dissipates heat generated by the plurality of LEDs. A backlight chassis supports the light guide plate. The backlight chassis includes: a cover plate for covering a rear surface of the light guide plate; and an upper wall connected to the cover plate, for covering an upper end surface of the light guide plate adjacent to the right end surface. The heat dissipater includes a right side wall for covering the right end surface of the light guide plate. The right end of the upper wall of the backlight chassis and the upper end of the right side wall of the heat dissipater are connected by a non-transparent connecting part.

The display device comprises a display panel, a light source, an optical plate being arranged to face the display panel and diffusing or guiding the light from the light source, and an optical sheet arranged on one surface of the optical plate, and further comprises a pressing part pressing an edge of the optical sheet, and a facing part coordinating with the pressing part and having a facing surface facing an end surface of the optical plate. The facing surface is slanting so that the distance between the facing surface and the end surface decreases toward the display panel.

Display device

A backlight device comprising a light source, a light guide plate with a side surface receiving light entering from the light source and with one surface emitting light, a frame body surrounding the light source and an edge of the light guide plate, and an optical sheet placed at a region facing the one surface, wherein the frame body has a first covering part covering, at a side proximal to the light source, an edge of the one surface, the optical sheet is placed on the first covering part at the side proximal to the light source, and is placed at least partly on the one surface at a side where the light source is not provided, a support body for support of the light guide plate is arranged between the light guide plate and a bottom plate of the frame body, and the first covering part holds the light guide plate between the first covering part and the support body.

A light source module includes a substrate on which a light source is mounted, a light guide plate emitting light from one surface of the light guide plate, the light having entered the light guide plate through an end surface of the light guide plate, a frame body covering a periphery of the light guide plate, and a fixing element fixing the substrate to the frame body in a state where the substrate is put between the frame body and the fixing element, wherein the light source includes a plurality of LEDs arranged side by side along the end surface, and the fixing element is engaged with the frame body and includes a positioning part positioning the light guide plate in a direction along which the plurality of LEDs are arranged side by side.

The display device comprises a light guide plate arranged at the side of a surface, of a display panel which has a display surface on one surface, opposite to the display surface, a plurality of light source elements arranged to face an end surface of the light guide plate, an optical sheet arranged at the display panel side of the light guide plate, and the display panel arranged to face the optical sheet, and further comprises a first holding portion shielding the light from the plurality of the light source elements to the display panel and holding the optical sheet at the light guide plate side, and a second holding portion separating the optical sheet from the display panel and holding the optical sheet at the side opposite to the first holding portion. A space is formed between the optical sheet and the display panel by the second holding portion.

Display device and television receiver

A casing integrally includes a first accommodation part in which an optical part is accommodated and a second accommodation part in which an optical support is accommodated. Since the optical part which is a part of an optical plate member formed in a bent plate shape is supported by the optical support which is another part of the optical plate member, it is unnecessary to prepare a thick and robust member for supporting the optical part. That is, the first accommodation part side of a light source device can be made thinner. Moreover, the second accommodation part side of a display apparatus functions as a stand for stationary installation of the first accommodation part side of the light source device. It is therefore possible to reduce the size of the light source device and also the display apparatus, since it is not necessary to attach a separate stand to the first accommodation part side of the light source device.

A light source unit, comprising: a light guide plate; a light source facing to a peripheral surface of the light guide plate; and a reflection part reflecting light emitted from one surface of the light guide plate, wherein the reflection part comprises: an elongated portion, which is positioned at an outside of an edge of the light guide plate, being elongated in a direction crossing the one surface; and a protrusion portion, which is located at a position of the elongated portion that is away from the one surface, protruding from the position to the one surface, wherein the one surface side of the light source is covered with the protrusion portion.
