The present invention comprises: a first bending part and a second bending part which are capable of bending elastically; a connection part which connects the first bending part and the second bending part, and which has higher bending rigidity than the first bending part and the second bending part; and a plurality of first cord-like members which are attached to the first bending part, which are inserted through the first bending part, the connection part, and the second bending part, and which are capable of bending the first bending part via tension on the second bending part side. The first cord-like members each have a plurality of divided parts which are divided in the connection part and dispersed in the circumferential direction, and which are inserted through the second bending part in this dispersed state.

Bending structural body

A flexible structure includes a first member, a second member, a recess, and a wire. The first member is capable of flexing and extending. The second member covers an outer circumference of the first member and is capable of flexing and extending in conjunction with the first member. The recess is provided at an inner circumference of the second member. The wire is held between the first member and the second member in a state in which at least a part of the wire is inserted into the recess in the radial direction.

Flexible structure

The bending structural body comprises: an inner cylinder that is formed from a first inner coil part and a first outer coil part, and in which wound parts corresponding to the first inner coil part are respectively fitted to pitches between adjacent wound parts of the first outer coil part; an outer cylinder that covers at least some of the outer circumference of the inner cylinder with a space therebetween, that is formed from a second inner coil part and a second outer coil part, and in which wound parts corresponding to the second inner coil part are respectively fitted to pitches between adjacent wound parts of the second outer coil part; and drive wires and guide wires that are guided and axially inserted into the space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder.

The present invention provides a flexible member having excellent load resistance and flexibility while achieving a reduction in size. This flexible member is provided with: a main body part which includes multiple wave washers that are stacked in an axial direction and are joined to one another by multiple joint parts, and which is capable of bending relative to the axial direction by elastic deformation of the wave washers; and easily deformable parts formed between the joint parts that are adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction in each wave washer.

Flexible member

A metal detection apparatus that can accurately and automatically determine whether a metal passing through the inspection area is a magnetic or non-magnetic metal comprises a detection unit quadrature-detecting a differential detection signal of magnetic field fluctuation in the inspection area due to the passage of a workpiece, and a determination unit that determines the presence or absence of a mixed metal based on both fluctuation components after the detection. The determination unit compares sample signal phase data obtained beforehand from the detection signal of the magnetic field fluctuation in the inspection area due to the passage of various metal samples, with the signal phase data obtained from the detection signal of the magnetic field fluctuation in the inspection area due to the passage of the workpiece mixed with metal, and determines the type of metal passing through the inspection area based on the phase determination result.

Metal detection apparatus

A metal detection apparatus comprises: a detection circuit unit () that detects a first variation component having a large influence of workpiece and a second variation component having a large influence of metal; a determination unit () that compares the two variation components to perform a metal determination process in the workpiece (W); and a detection condition adjustment unit () that adjusts detection conditions of both variation components. A foreign matter waveform storage unit () stores a test variation component accompanying temporal change due to metal influence is further provided. The detection condition adjustment unit sets a specific processing condition of detection processing in the detection circuit unit based on the first variation component based on the magnetic field variation signal at the time when the work W including no metal passes through the inspection zone Z and the second variation component constituted by the test variation component.
