A plasma display panel includes a front plate and a rear plate disposed so as to face the front plate. A discharge space is formed between the front plate and the rear plate. The front plate includes display electrodes and a dielectric layer formed to coat the display electrodes. The dielectric layer includes hollow fine particles which are hollowed out inside.

In an optical information recording medium of the present invention, at least one information layer provided on a transparent substrate includes a protective layer and a write-once recording layer that are disposed in this order from the transparent substrate side. An optical information recording medium, recording/reproducing method thereof, and recording/reproducing apparatus with superior signal quality for high-density recording that has high storage reliability is provided. The optical information recording medium has at least one information layer having a recording layer and a dielectric layer in order on a transparent substrate. The information recording medium of the present invention comprises at least one of the following oxide-based material layers: (I) an oxide-based material layer containing Zr, at least one element selected from the group GL1 consisting of La, Ga and In, and oxygen (O); (II) an oxide-based material layer containing M1 (where M1 is a mixture of Zr and Hf, or Hf), at least one element selected from the group GL2 consisting of La, Ce, Al, Ga, In, Mg and Y, and O; (III) an oxide-based material layer containing at least one element selected from the group GM2 consisting of Zr and Hf, at least one element selected from the group GL2, Si, and O; and (IV) an oxide-based material layer containing at least one element selected from the group GM2, at least one element selected from the group GL2, Cr, and O. The present invention provides an information recording medium with high reliability and excellent repeated rewriting performance even when no interface layer is formed and a method for manufacturing the same. If an ultraviolet curing resin is colored by contamination by another substance, there have been issues regarding increased cost and the environmental burden of treating the waste solution due to an inability to recycle the resin as it is. The ultraviolet curing resin that is in a colored, uncured state is decolored in the present invention by irradiation of light having a wavelength in the vicinity of the maximum absorption wavelength of the coloring material, and then recycled. An information recording medium is provided that has high recording sensitivity for recording information and superior repeated rewriting performance. The information recording medium has at least a recording layer that is changeable between a crystalline phase and an amorphous phase by applying a laser beam or electric current and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer contains at least C, Si, Sn and O. Alternatively, the information recording medium includes at least two information layers with at least one of the information layer including at least a recording layer that is changeable between a crystalline phase and an amorphous phase by applying a laser beam or electric current and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer contains at least C, Si, Sn and O.

In an information recording medium of the present invention, a recording layer and first and second dielectric layers are formed on a surface of a substrate. In the recording layer, at least one of recording and reproduction is caused by irradiation of light or application of electric energy. The dielectric layers are oxide-based material layers or oxide-nitride-based material layers containing an oxide of at least one element selected from the group GM consisting of Sn, Ga and Zn, and at least one of an oxide and a nitride of at least one element selected from the group GL consisting of Al, Si and B, or oxide-fluoride-based material layers containing a fluoride of at least one element selected from La and Ce, and one example of at least one of element selected from the group GM.
