An object of present invention is to provide an optical laminate that can be used for a reflective circular polarizer with little occurrence of a ghost in a case of being used in a virtual reality display device, an electronic finder, or the like; a laminated optical film including the reflective circular polarizer; an optical article including the optical laminate; and a virtual reality display device including the optical article. The optical laminate of the present invention includes two or more laminated reflective layers, in which the laminated reflective layer includes one reflective layer A that includes at least one or more cholesteric liquid crystal layers formed of a first liquid crystal compound which substantially consists of a rod-like liquid crystal compound and that does not include a cholesteric liquid crystal layer formed of a second liquid crystal compound which substantially consists of a disk-like liquid crystal compound, and one reflective layer B that includes at least one or more cholesteric liquid crystal layers formed of the second liquid crystal compound which substantially consists of a disk-like liquid crystal compound and that does not include a cholesteric liquid crystal layer formed of the first liquid crystal compound which substantially consists of a rod-like liquid crystal compound, and predetermined requirements are satisfied.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a projection image-displaying member having excellent suitability for polarizing sunglasses, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system. The projection image-displaying member has a first polarization converting layer, at least one selectively reflecting layer, and a second polarization converting layer in this order. The first polarization converting layer and the second polarization converting layer are layers formed by fixing a helical alignment structure of a liquid crystal compound. The number of pitches in the helical alignment structure and a film thickness satisfy all relational expressions below. The optical filter includes a first anisotropic absorption layer, a first retardation layer, and a second anisotropic absorption layer in this order, each of the first anisotropic absorption layer and the second anisotropic absorption layer contains a dichroic colorant, an absorption axis of the dichroic colorant is perpendicular to a main surface, and the first retardation layer has polar angle dependence of retardation that has asymmetry about a normal direction with respect to incident light hitting at least one incident surface including a normal of a layer surface of the first retardation layer.

The problem is solved such that one or more phase difference layers, one or more selective reflection layers, and one or more polarization conversion layers are provided in this order, the polarization conversion layer being a layer in which a helical alignment structure of a liquid crystal compound is fixed, and the number of pitches x of the helical alignment structure and a film thickness y (μm) of the polarization conversion layer satisfying '0.3≤x≤7.0', “0.5≤y≤6.0”, “y≤0.7x+3.2”, and “y≥0.7x−1.4”.
