An automatic ice making machine is provided that is capable of modifying an amount of feeding water depending on a temperature of makeup water. The automatic ice making machine is equipped with a deicing timerto keep time of a deicing completion time period Tin which deicing operation is completed. In addition, in a control means, a deicing water longest supply time period Uis preset, which is a longest time period to supply deicing water in deicing operation. In a case where the deicing water is low in temperature, so that the deicing progresses slowly and thus the deicing completion time period Tbecomes equal to or greater than the deicing water longest supply time period U, the control meanscarries out water feeding in a feeding amount of water at low temperature at the time of water feeding. In contrast, in a case where deicing water is high in temperature, so that the deicing is promoted and thus the deicing completion time period Tbecomes shorter than the deicing water longest supply time period U, the control meanscarries out water feeding in a feeding amount of water at high temperature, which is more than the feeding amount of water at low temperature, at the time of water feeding.

Automatic ice making machine

A method of operating an ice making machine efficiently provides clean ice blocks. A special water-discharge operation which is performed when an ice storage switch (TS) provided at an ice storage chamber () storing ice blocks (M) separated in a deicing operation detects that the ice storage chamber () is full of ice discharges the ice-making water from the ice-making water tank () via water discharge means () by releasing a water discharge valve (DV) provided at the water discharge means (). Then, the special water-discharge operation is terminated by closing the water discharge valve (DV) when a preset duration time (T) passes after a float switch (FS) provided at the ice-making water tank () detects an ice-making completion water level (LWL) of the ice-making water in the ice-making water tank () after discharge of the ice-making water to outside is started.

Method of operating ice making machine

A flow-down-type ice making machine in which ice cubes reliably separate and drop from the lower end of an ice making plate, an ice guiding member can be placed close to the ice making plate, and the amount of ice storage is increased. An ice making section () is made up of a pair of ice making plates () placed opposed to each other in a substantially vertical position and of evaporation tube () provided meandering between the ice making plates (). The ice guiding member () attached to an ice making water tank () is placed right under and close to the ice making section (). The ice guiding member () is formed in a reverse V-shaped cross-section and is placed so that the top of the ice guiding member is located in the middle between the back sides of the ice making plates (). A slope () tilting from the top of the ice guiding member () to one side of the top faces below one ice making plate (), and a slope () tilting from the top of the ice guiding member () to the other side of the top faces below the other ice making plate (). An outwardly projecting lower end projection () is formed on each ice making plate (), at the lower end of its surface facing each ice making region () of the ice making plate (). Because of the presence of the lower end projection (), an ice cube (M) running onto the lower end projection () is separated from an ice making surface.

Flow-down-type ice making machine

Ice making portions of an ice making machine have a pair of ice making plates disposed vertically and an evaporation tube disposed between back faces of the ice making plates. A plurality of vertically extending projected rims are formed at predetermined intervals widthwise on a surface of each ice making plate to define a plurality of ice making regions. The ice making plates facing the ice making regions are provided with consecutive vertical steps of inclined portions inclined from a back side towards a front side as directed downwardly, and contact horizontal extensions of the evaporation tube at a vertically intermediate position on a back face of each inclined portion.

Ice making unit for a flow-down ice making machine

A sprinkle guide provided above an ice making plate in a trickle ice making machine having the ice making plate on which vertically extending projecting portions are formed while spaced apart in the lateral direction and making a lump of ice from ice making water supplied to ice making surfaces provided between adjoining projecting portions, and an ice making water tank provided below the ice making plate. The ice making plate includes cover parts located above each projecting portions, guide parts provided between adjoining cover parts to face the ice making surfaces while inclining downward from the projecting end side of the projecting portions toward the ice making surfaces side and guiding the ice making water to the ice making surfaces through a slit defined between the inclination lower end and the ice making surfaces and a notch provided at the upper end of the guide parts.

In an ice making plate where a plurality of ice making regions are formed in the vertical direction, a projecting portion having a lateral width B smaller than a lateral width A of the ice making regions is formed between adjacent ice making regions. At least one non-projecting portion or area is defined at least one side of the projecting portion and located between adjacent ice making regions. Most of the ice growth is restricted by an upper surface portion and a lower surface portion of the projecting portion, and the ice is thereby partially prevented from connecting to the ice formed in the adjacent ice making region. However, a part of the ice grows in the at least one non-projecting portion or area, and partially connected ice is formed by the connection of the ice formed in the non-projecting portion or area to the ice grown in the adjacent ice making region. Ice making section of stream down type ice making machine

A cooling unit wherein devices are divided so as to be installed in each of an outdoor unit and indoor unit, for downsizing the indoor unit and reducing its pipe-line cost. The cooling unit disposes a compressor, a condenser and a liquid receiver R in the outdoor unit, and disposes an expansion means and an evaporator in the indoor unit. The outdoor unit comprises a first bypass pipe closed by a first bypass valve so as to open/close freely. The indoor unit comprises a second bypass pipe, which is closed by a second bypass valve so as to open/close freely. The units are connected by a liquid pipe used as a supply line for refrigerant or hot gas by selecting a refrigerant supply line among the bypass valves and the open/close valves, and by a gas pipe communicating the evaporator to the compressor.

During the ice-making operation, when time in which the outlet temperature of refrigerant from the evaporator () takes to reach a first preset temperature Kafter the start of the ice-making operation, is longer than a normal time tnin which the outlet temperature of the refrigerant from the evaporator () takes to reach the preset temperature Kthe abnormal state of shortage of refrigerant is determined and a failsafe operation is carried out.

Method for operating automatic ice-making machine

The refrigerator of this invention includes a thermal insulating box, an upper storing box and a lower storing box within the thermal insulating box, and a cooling unit arranged above the upper storing box. An interior space within the thermal insulating box is divided into a first passage communicating with a cold air blowing side of the cooling unit to cool the storing box while lowering the cold air and a second passage communicating with a cold air sucking side of the cooling unit to cool the storing box while raising the cold air descended down to the bottom part of the thermal insulating box and to return the cold air to the cooling unit. A space having the cooling unit stored therein is divided by a partition wall into a first chamber having the cooling unit arranged therein and a second chamber having an air blowing fan arranged therein. The partition wall is provided with through-holes at locations corresponding to the cold air passage within the first chamber.

There is disclosed a refrigerator comprising a first passage defined in a space in the interior of a heat-insulating box to guide cold air from a evaporator downwardly, and a second passage which guides the cold air that has flowed downwardly in the first passage and rises to return to the evaporator, a partition plate which is disposed within the first passage to divide the passage into a passage which communicates the first passage with the second passage in order to allow the flow of the cold air in contact with the upper storage box, and a passage communicating with the second passage, allowing the cold air to flow into the upper storage box out of contact with the upper storage box; a regulating means which is disposed in a cold air passage from the evaporator, and regulates the flow of the cold air into the passage; and a cold air introducing means disposed in the passage. The cold air introducing means is operated to allow a part of the cold air from the evaporator to flow into the passage without being regulated by the regulating means.

A refrigerator comprising a thermal insulation box, a plurality of storing boxes, a cooler, a horizontal passage and a partition plate, wherein the cold air coming from any one of the upper and lower internal spacings is communicated within the horizontal passage along the partition plate, and further the internal spacing of the thermal insulation box is divided into a first passage and a second passage, the horizontal passage and a first passage are divided into an upper segment and a lower segment by a partition plate, and the upper passage and the lower passage defined in the horizontal passage are communicated at a side opposite to a side communicating with the first passage.
