A glass run channel mountable along a window frame and made of a thermoplastic elastomer includes a base portion, a pair of side wall portions extending from the base portion, and projections that engage the window frame. A non-slip portion made of material having a larger coefficient of friction with respect to the window frame than that of the thermoplastic elastomer is provided on a face of the base portion opposite to the window frame. The non-slip portion is less slidable on the window frame than the thermoplastic elastomer, and further less slidable due to an orthogonal load produced when the glass run channel is mounted and pressed. Therefore, the glass run channel is stably maintained at a predetermined position in the window frame even if a force is exerted by sliding the window pane repeatedly.

Glass run channel for vehicle and glass run channel assembly for vehicle

A glass run channel having a shock absorption member provided in a direction crossing a movement direction of a windowpane with a gap provided between a base bottom portion and the shock absorption member. A low-friction material layer is integrally provided at a contact face of the shock absorption member which is configured to come into contact with an edge of the windowpane and a back face of the contact face and/or a bottom face of the base bottom portion opposite the back face.

Glass run channel and glass run channel assembly

A glass-run channel comprises a sectionally U-shaped body which is installed on a window frame of a door of a vehicle and a glass sealing lip which slidably contacts a windowpane 81 which is opened and closed. The rear surface of the glass sealing lip and/or the inner surface of the body are covered with a sliding-contact material formed of a material different from that of the body and having a high degree of sliding-contact performance.

Glass-run channel

A weatherstrip molding exhibiting an excellent fitting capability with a corner section of a windshield frame of a vehicle. Even when the weatherstrip molding has been folded for a certain period of storage or packing, no cease mark or wrinkle is left on a slide contact section thereof. The weatherstrip molding includes a main body section fit with a windshield frame of a vehicle and a slide contact section slidably contacted with a windshield moving up and down, both of which are integrally molded. The main body section is formed of an olefin thermoplastic elastomer containing olefin resin and rubber. The slide contact section is formed of a mixture containing a polyolefin resin and a thermoplastic elastomer such as a styrene thermoplastic elastomer.
