In a compressor control system for a vehicle air conditioner, a hybrid ECU of the vehicle controls a rotation speed of a compressor electric motor. In this case, an output circuit, which outputs a driving signal for driving the compressor electric motor, only needs to be newly provided in the hybrid ECU when a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle is manufactured based on an engine vehicle. Therefore, a high cost is not caused even when the output circuit is provided in the hybrid ECU which should be newly designed and manufactured. In addition, because the output circuit does not need to be provided in an air-conditioning ECU which is an existing component of the engine vehicle, the air-conditioning ECU in the engine vehicle can be directly applied to that in the hybrid vehicle without a substantial hardware change. Therefore, design cost can be reduced.

Compressor control system for vehicle air conditioner

In an electrical compressor having a motor and an electrical circuit integrated with a compression portion, a part of electrical components of the electrical circuit is disposed in spaces between a cylindrical outer surface of a motor housing and an imaginary flat surface that imaginarily contacts the cylindrical outer surface. Therefore, the spaces can be used effectively, and the electrical compressor can be downsized. Further, the part of the electrical components can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing. On the other hand, the outer surface of the motor housing is used as one surface defining an inner space of a casing for accommodating the electrical circuit. In this case, the electrical circuit can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing.

A hot water heating apparatus for an electric vehicle and a hybrid vehicle has a compact heat source apparatus not requiring a wide space for setting. A communication pipe, in which water as a heat medium flows, and an electric heater are embedded in a heat conductor metal in proximity in a row arrangement to form a flat-shaped heat conductor. A heat source apparatus is constructed by stacking multiple flat-shaped heat conductors while the communication pipes are connected to each other in series. Further, the communication pipe and the electric heater are embedded in the heat conductor metal in proximity in a row arrangement, and the communication pipes are connected in series. Therefore, water flowing in the communication pipes is rapidly heated, and heating efficiency is extremely high.

Hot-water heating apparatus for electric vehicle and hybrid vehicle

In a vehicle air-conditioning system, a supply of electric power to a first electric heater and a supply of electric power to a second electric heater are duty controlled at the same duty ratio in such a manner that the supply of the electric power to the second electric heater is phase shifted by one half of a period from the supply of the electric power to the first electric heater.

Electric load control system and vehicle air-conditioning system having the same

In an electrical load controller, a thermal fuse is blown at an abnormal heating of an electrical load, so that an electrical circuit of the electrical load is disconnected. The controller controls a work amount of the electrical load by intermittently controlling electrical power to be supplied thereto. The power supply to the electrical load is intermittently stopped even when the work amount of the electrical load is controlled at a maximum amount. Therefore, an arc, generated when the thermal fuse is blown, disappears while the power supply is stopped, so that the thermal fuse can be accurately operated.

A vehicle air-conditioning system limits electric power used by an electric motor for a compressor in a prescribed fashion that quickly removes fog from the windows when a defroster mode is selected. When the defroster mode is selected, the limit on the electric power used by the electric motor is lifted, and the number of revolutions of the compressor is set to a high level to raise the dehumidifying and cooling capability to quickly remove moisture from the windows.

In an air conditioner for a hybrid vehicle, when a residual charging degree of a battery becomes equal to or lower than a target degree, the electrical motor generator is driven by a vehicle engine so that the battery is charged through the electrical motor generator. When the engine is driven, the target degree of the battery is set higher than that when the engine is stopped so that a charging operation tends to be required while the engines driven. Accordingly, the frequency for starting the engine only for charging the battery is reduced.

When an after-evaporation temperature TE remains below the wet-bulb temperature Twet, the compressor is intermittently operated for a predetermined time after the elapse of a first time To from compressor stopping. On the other hand, when the after-evaporation temperature TE is higher than the wet-bulb temperature Twet, the intermittent operation mode stops. This reduces dispersion of offensive smells from the evaporator.

Air-conditioning system for vehicles

An air-conditioning device includes a control system for saving fuel consumed to drive the device and for enhancing comfortability of passengers at the same time. The air-conditioning device is operated under a cooling mode emphasizing comfortability or under an economy mode emphasizing fuel economy. Under the cooling mode, the device is controlled in a lower temperature range. Under the economy mode, the device is controlled in an intermediate temperature range to secure comfortability when cooling-down is required, and in a higher temperature range to save fuel after the cooling-down has been completed. Information on vehicle speed may be used in the control under the economy mode. The device may be turned off or controlled in a higher temperature range to save fuel, especially when the vehicle comes to a halt. Frost on a windshield which develops when the vehicle is at a halt for a certain period without operating air-conditioning device is avoided by operating the device at a lower temperature, only when such condition exists. Such condition may be detected by a humidity sensor installed in the passenger compartment.

Air-conditioning device for hybrid vehicle

A control apparatus for a gas injection type air conditioning system that prevents lowering of compressor speed and cycle stoppage under conditions where high pressure is liable to occur. During a system heating mode, a pressure change rate ASP of the high pressure of the refrigerating cycle is calculated. When a pressure change rate .increment.SP rises above a predetermined value, a system electric expansion valve aperture is reduced. Accordingly, by calculation of the pressure change rate .increment.SP, it is possible to control the electric expansion valve in the above manner earlier than in prior art control schemes when there is a sudden rise in the high pressure.

In the cooling operation, it is determined whether supplied electric current (IDC) supplied to an electric motor for driving a compressor is less than a predetermined value or not, that is, whether consumed electric power of the electric motor is less than a predetermined value or not. In the cool-down control, the determination may be 'NO', however, in this case an inverter is controlled so that the IDC is set to the predetermined value. Thus, in the present invention, since IDC is always the predetermined value a1 or less and the consumed electric power of the electric motor is always the predetermined value or less, coefficiency of performance (COP) of the refrigerating cycle can be maintained to a predetermined magnitude.

Air conditioning apparatus

An air-conditioning apparatus for vehicle use which can obtain sufficient heater capacity even in a cold-climate region, can utilize an existing heater unit, can combine a combustion type heater with a simple assembly operation, and can utilize exhaust heat of a motor for travel use of an automobile for heating a passenger compartment. The air-conditioning apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle connecting a refrigerant compressor, a refrigerant/water heat exchanger, a first pressure-reducer, and an exterior heat exchanger in an annular configuration. Further, a hot-water cycle connects the refrigerant/water heat exchanger, a hot-water heater core, an exhaust-heat cooler, and a water pump in an annular configuration and connects a combustion type heater in parallel with the refrigerant/water heat exchanger. Accordingly, during heat-pump hot-water heating, hot water, with a temperature raised by refrigerant condensation by the refrigerant/water heat exchanger, circulates in the hot-water heater core so as to obtain a required heater capacity. During combustion heater hot-water heating, hot water, with a temperature raised by combustion fuel in the combustion type heater, circulates in the hot-water heater core so as to obtain sufficient heating capacity even in a cold-climate region.

Air-conditioning apparatus for vehicle use

An automotive air conditioning system is provided to be able to minutely control the air blow temperature independently of the ambient temperature to maintain the compartment always pleasant. The difference between the revolution speed of a compressor with a temperature setting lever for setting the revolution speed of the compressor set in the left end position and the revolution speed of the compressor with the temperature setting lever set in the left end position is increased in the mid summer or mid winter and reduced in the spring or autumn, whereby the air blow temperature can be minutely controlled to make the inside of the compartment always pleasant.
