There is disclosed a process for making a lithographic printing plate which comprises subjecting a lithographic printing plate precursor having at least a hydrophilic layer on a support and a silver thin layer on the hydrophilic layer to exposure by a laser beam whereby imagewisely removing the silver thin layer and exposing the hydrophilic layer, wherein the hydrophilic layer adjacent to the silver thin layer contains at least one inorganic oxide.

Process for making lithographic printing plate

Provided is a method for making a lithographic printing plate according to which the area of a silver thin film of non-image area of a lithographic printing plate material comprising a support, at least a hydrophilic layer on the support and a silver thin film on the hydrophilic layer is exposed by laser beams to be fused and/or decomposed by heat transformed from laser energy thereby to disclose the hydrophilic layer.

Method for making lithographic printing plate

This invention relates to a method for electrophotographic wet reversal development comprising charging an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a substrate and a photosensitive layer coated thereon, exposing the electrophotographic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photosensitive layer, and developing the electrostatic latent image by carrying the electrophotographic photoreceptor through a wet reversal developing device having a developing electrode in substantially a linear form having a projected width of 30 mm or less and applying a bias voltage to said developing electrode. Usually, the bias voltage applied is 80% or more of the surface potential of the photoreceptor and the development is carried out by passing the photoreceptor at a rate of 0.5-20 m/min through the developing device. This method produces images with less edge effect and excellent tone reproduction. The developing electrode is simplified resulting in improved maintainability.

Method of electrophotographic wet reversal development

The present invention provides a method for making an electrophotographic printing plate by reversal development which comprises uniformly charging the surface of an organic photoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive support and, provided thereon, an organic photoconductive compound bound with a resin binder, exposing the surface to a light image to form a static latent image corresponding to the light image on the surface of the organic photoreceptor and then, subjecting the static latent image to reversal development with an electrophotographic liquid developer containing charged toner particles, characterized in that the reversal development is carried out with the electrophotographic liquid developer having an electrodeposition potential set within the range of 0-80 V in absolute value.
