A lamp unit includes: a light emitting element; a reflector that reflects light emitted from the light emitting element toward a unit front; and a heat sink that supports the light emitting element and the reflector, in which a power supply attachment for supplying power to the light emitting element is attached to the heat sink, the power supply attachment is fastened to the heat sink at two left and right positions of the power supply attachment, and a connector portion of the power supply attachment is formed inside two left and right fastening positions so as to extend to a unit rear side relative to a rear end position of the reflector.

Lamp unit and power supply attachment

Provided is a vehicle lamp including an optical unit including an optical element and a solenoid that drives the optical element; and a driving circuit configured to receive a voltage from a DC power supply and apply a driving voltage to the solenoid. The driving circuit includes a signal generating circuit that generates a notification signal indicating whether or not the solenoid is open-circuited. The signal generating circuit generates a first signal as the notification signal when the solenoid is normal. The notification signal is set as a second signal that is different from the first signal when open-circuit of the solenoid is detected.

Vehicle lamp

A vehicle lamp includes a light source, a front cover made of a transparent material to transmit light emitted by the light source, a lamp body forming a lamp housing together with the front cover, and a vibrator configured to vibrate the front cover to generate a vibration sound. The vibrator is supported by the lamp housing such that the vibrator contacts the front cover at a location where, when the vehicle lamp is mounted on a vehicle, the vibrator is not visible from an outside of the vehicle lamp.

A vehicular lamp is provided with a vibrator and a shock-absorbing member. The vibrator is attached to a lamp body. The lamp body vibrates in response to the vibration of the vibrator and an alarm sound is generated. The shock-absorbing member is provided to an attachment part and the transfer of the vibration from the vibrator through the attachment part is suppressed by the shock-absorbing member.

Vehicular lamp

A vehicle headlamp apparatus is provided. The vehicle headlamp apparatus includes a first lamp configured to selectively produce a first high beam light distribution pattern and an infrared light distribution pattern, a second lamp configured to selectively produce a second high beam light distribution pattern and a low beam light distribution pattern, a vehicle detector which detects a vehicle running ahead, and a condition-dependent selection controller which controls the first and second lamps. The condition-dependent selection controller controls the second lamp to produce the low beam light distribution pattern when the vehicle detector detects a vehicle and to produce the second high beam light distribution pattern when the vehicle detector detects no vehicle. The condition-dependent selection controller controls the first lamp to produce the infrared light distribution pattern, irrespective of whether the vehicle detector detects a vehicle.

Vehicle headlamp apparatus and control method thereof

An optical unit used in a vehicle lighting device, includes a plurality of first shades which are disposed adjacent to each other in a vehicle width direction and are separated by a specific gap, wherein at least one of the first shades is movable between an advanced position which blocks a part of light emitted from a light source and a retreated position which does not block the light, a second shade, which is engaged with an end portion in the vehicle width direction of the at least one of the first shades, and driven by the first shade to move between the advanced position and the retreated position, and covers the gap between the adjacent first shades, and a movement mechanism which is connected to the at least one first shade and moves the first shade to one of the advanced position and the retreated position.

Optical unit

An infrared light irradiating lamp for a vehicle includes a projection lens disposed on an optical axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a light source bulb disposed behind a rear focal point of the projection lens, a reflector for reflecting light emitted from the light source bulb in a forward direction close to the optical axis by setting the light source bulb as a first focal point of the reflector, a filter driving unit disposed between the projection lens and the light source bulb, the filter driving unit having a movable shaft to be driven in a vertical direction, a bracket having a tip portion and a base end, the tip portion holding an infrared light transmitting filter, and a rotating shaft disposed between the movable shaft to the base end of the bracket for linking the movable shaft to the base end.

Infrared light irradiating lamp for vehicle

A vehicle lamp is provided with: a lamp unitsupported horizontally rotationally movably within a lamp housing; a shade movable in a predetermined direction so as to change a shielded quantity of light emitted from a light source; a horizontally driving device for horizontally rotationally moving the lamp unit; and a shade driving device for moving the shade in the predetermined direction. The shade driving device is provided with a driving shaft to be coupled with the shade. The lamp unit is rotationally moved by the horizontally driving device around the driving shaft.

A vehicular headlamp including a light blocking moveable shade which is provided to rotate about a rotational axis line that extends in the width direction of a vehicle. The moveable shade is linked to an actuator via a link member and has an outwardly curved upper end edge that extends along the rear focal plane of a projection lens when the moveable shade is in the light shielding or light blocking position. The distance between the rotational axis line and a connection point of the moveable shade and the link member is set to be smaller than the distance between the rotational axis line and the upper end edge of the moveable shade, and the center of gravity of the moveable shade is positioned in the vicinity of the rotational axis line.
