A radar apparatus includes transmitting means, receiving means, target detection means, and a cover member. The cover member is positioned opposite at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means, such as to cover at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means. The cover member is provided with a first face which is positioned opposite at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means, and a second face which is on an opposite side from the first face and is not parallel to the first face.

An antenna device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a zeroth-order resonant antenna and a first-order resonant antenna. The zeroth-order resonant antenna includes a base plate, a platy radiation element, and a connection conductor connecting the base plate and the platy radiation element. The zeroth-order resonant antenna is configured to transmit and/or receive a first linearly polarized radio wave in all directions perpendicular to the first linearly polarized radio wave by zeroth order resonance. The first-order resonant antenna includes the base plate shared with the zeroth-order resonant antenna, and a first radiation element located on the same plane as the base plate. The first-order resonant antenna is configured to transmit and/or receive a second linearly polarized radio wave perpendicular to the first linearly polarized radio wave by first order resonance.

Antenna device

An antenna device includes a ground plate, a patch portion disposed parallel to the ground plate with a particular spacing, a plurality of short circuit portions that electrically connect the patch portion to the ground plate, and a loop portion which is a loop shaped conductor member at a particular spacing from an outer edge portion of the patch portion. The patch portion has an area which forms an electrostatic capacitance that causes parallel resonance with an inductance provided by the short circuit portions at a particular target frequency. The loop portion is formed with a perimeter length which is an integral multiple of the wavelength of radio waves at the target frequency. A feed point is disposed on the loop portion, and current is supplied to the patch portion through the loop portion.

An antenna device includes a ground plate that is a plate-shaped conductor member, a patch portion that is a plate-shaped conductor member placed to be opposed to the ground plate with a predetermined distance therebetween, a short-circuit portion that is a conductor member electrically connecting together the patch portion and the ground plate, and an additional conductor that is a plate-shaped conductor member placed to be opposed to the patch portion with a predetermined distance therebetween. The additional conductor is placed on a side of the patch portion on which the ground plate is not placed. An inductance of the short-circuit portion, a capacitance formed by the ground plate and the patch portion, and a capacitance formed by the patch portion and the additional conductor are used to perform parallel resonance.

An antenna device includes a ground plate, a patch section parallel to, and spaced apart from, the ground plate, a first short circuit section having a plurality of first conductive elements that electrically connect the patch section and the ground plate, and a second short circuit section having a plurality of second conductive elements electrically connected at one end to the ground plate. The plurality of first conductive elements are arranged in a circle with a first radius from a patch center point and provide a preset inductance. The plurality of second conductive elements are arranged in a circle with a second radius from the patch center point and provide a preset inductance.

A radar apparatus is provided with transmitting means, receiving means, target detection means, azimuth detection means and a cover member. The cover member has a first face and a second face. The first face and second face are not parallel to one another. At least one of the first face and second face is a curved surface which is curved along azimuth detection directions of the azimuth detection means, such as to provide a large phase difference between incoming waves that are received by a plurality of antenna elements and are from within a range of large angular values in the azimuth detection directions of the azimuth detection means.

An antenna apparatus has an antenna unit. The antenna unit transmits or receives a probe wave made of an electromagnetic wave. A magnet is disposed at a location through which the probe wave to be received by the antenna unit passes. The magnet works to generate a magnetic field along a direction in which the probe wave propagates. A polarizing filter is arranged on an opposite side of a magnetic body to the antenna unit. This minimizes the interference between an emitted wave and a reflected wave created by a cover, such as a bumper, regardless of the configuration of the cover.

Radar apparatus

An element section includes at least one antenna element transmitting/receiving radio waves. Refracting sections refract unnecessary waves, which are radio waves emitted from the element section and traveling away from a detection area, in a rearward direction in which the unnecessary waves travel further than an antenna-formed surface having the at least one antenna element of the element section.

Antenna apparatus

A position detection apparatus is mounted in a vehicle, and communicates wirelessly with a mobile terminal of a target person to be notified, and thereby detects a relative position of the mobile terminal. The position detection apparatus is provided with: a satellite signal receiver receiving a positioning signal; a correction signal receiver receiving a correction signal; a terminal position communicator receiving by wireless communication from the mobile terminal the acquired positioning signal of the mobile terminal; and a corrected-position calculation portion correcting the received positioning signals of both the mobile terminal and the satellite signal receiver using the correction signal, and calculating the positional relationship of the mobile terminal in relation to the vehicle on the basis of the vehicle position information and the terminal position information based on the corrected positioning signals.

Position detection apparatus, position detection method, and position detection system

A collective antenna device includes: a case having a gradually rising part in which spatial height increases continuously toward a rear part; a ground plate that is accommodated at a bottom part of the case; a first antenna element that is accommodated in the case and configured for a first frequency; and a second antenna element that is accommodated in the case and configured for a second frequency higher than the first frequency. The second element is accommodated in the case such that the second antenna element is located below or behind the gradually rising part and also located behind the first antenna element. A feed point of the second antenna element is located above the ground plate.

Collective antenna device

An antenna devicehas a dielectric substrate, a patch antennaand electric power absorbing passive elementsformed on a surface of the dielectric substrate. Each electric power absorbing passive elementis formed between the patch antennaand an edge portion in a polarized wave direction of the dielectric substrate. The electric power absorbing passive elementsabsorb a part of electric power received by the patch antenna. This makes it possible to suppress a surface current flowing to the edge portions of the dielectric substrate on a conductive plate (a front-surface conductor plateor a back surface conductor plate) on the dielectric substrate.

An antenna device includes a first antenna element and a second antenna element. The first antenna element operates at a first predetermined frequency band. The second antenna element operates at a second predetermined frequency band that is different from the first predetermined frequency band. The first antenna element includes a base end portion, a front end portion, a folded portion, a first side portion disposed between the base end portion and the folded portion, and a second side portion disposed between the folded portion and the front end portion. A direction of a current vector in the first side portion is equal to a direction of a current vector in the second side portion. The second antenna element is disposed adjacent to the first antenna element.

An antenna device mounted on a roof surface of a vehicle roof includes a ground plate disposed on the roof surface, an antenna ground, a first antenna element, and a second antenna element. The antenna ground is disposed on a plane perpendicular to the ground plate apart from a ground plate surface by a predetermined distance in a direction perpendicular to the ground plate surface. The first antenna element, whose first base end portion is connected to a first predetermined position of the antenna ground, extends from the first base end portion to a first front end portion in a direction moving away from the antenna ground. The second antenna element, whose second base end portion is connected to a second predetermined position of the antenna ground, extends from the second base end portion to a second front end portion in a direction moving away from the antenna ground.

A wireless communication apparatus includes a first wireless communication unit performing a first type wireless communication and a second wireless communication unit performing a second type wireless communication, an interference determination portion, and an interference suppression portion. The interference determination portion determines whether the first wireless communication unit is in an interference state based on a radio wave reception state of the first wireless communication unit acquired when the second wireless communication unit is in a transmitting state. In the interference state, radio waves received by the first wireless communication unit are interfered by the radio waves transmitted from the second wireless communication unit. The interference suppression portion executes an interference suppression process in response to the interference state by suppressing the radio waves transmitted from the second wireless communication from interfering with the radio waves received by the first wireless communication unit.

Wireless communication apparatus

An antenna apparatus includes a dielectric substrate, a ground plate, a patch antenna provided with a patch radiating element, and a plurality of EBGs (Electromagnetic Band Gaps). The EBGs are composed of patch-shaped patterns formed on a surface of the substrate and connecting conductors electrically connecting the patch-shaped patterns and the ground plate. Each EBG is arranged to provide an EBG absent region having no EBG on the surface of the substrate. The patch radiating element is arranged within the EBG absent region. The EBG absent region is formed such that distances (absent distances) in a dominant polarized wave direction changes into a plurality of types depending on the position on a vertical patch line, where the distances range, to the boundary of the region, from an arbitrary position on the virtual patch line which is perpendicular to the dominant polarized wave direction of the patch antenna.
