This invention is to provide an in-vehicle interior light unit that protects a base from a thermal damage attributable to a thermal factor and reduces cost. This is achieved by adopting a general-purpose compact bulb cassette which does not have a heat shielding function although the bulb cassette still uses a heat-resistant resin as the material thereof, and the thermal deformation due to the radiant heat from a bulb is prevented by a heat shield plate integrally formed when punch-molding a bus bar, which is formed of a conductive metal member. Thus, the radiant heat from the bulb is blocked by the heat shield plate. An in-vehicle interior light unit in accordance with the present invention includes: a housing-shaped base formed of a non-heat-resistant thermoplastic resin; a bus bar integrally formed with a heat shielding plate which is mounted in the base and which rises in the vicinity of a general-purpose bulb; a bulb holder electrically connected to the bus bar; a general-purpose vertical type bulb cassette which is provided with the bulb holder and which has a socket function; a general-purpose bulb which is vertically mounted in the bulb cassette and which is electrically connected to the bulb holder; and a lens mounted on a front surface of the base.

In-vehicle interior light unit

A bus bar substrate for an interior light of a vehicle includes an insulating base plate and a plurality of bus bars. Grooves are formed in the front and back surfaces of the insulating base plate. The plurality of bus bars are fitted to the grooves of the insulating base plate. In preferred embodiments, a bus bar substrate for an interior light of a vehicle will include front and back surfaces and a plurality of front and back securing holes through the insulating base, and front and back bus bars respectively positioned on the front and back surfaces of the insulating base plate. The front securing holes are surrounded by guard walls extending outwardly from the back surface of the insulating plate, and the back securing holes are surrounded by guard walls extending outwardly from the front surface of the insulating plate. The front and back bus bars comprise front and back stopper portions inserted into respective ones of the front and back securing holes oppositely to one another so as to secure the front and back bus bars to the front and back surfaces of the insulating base plate.

Bus bar substrate for vehicle interior light

A vehicle lamp assembly includes a case, and a bulb cassette for mounting the a light bulb in the case. The case is formed of a resin material having a low thermal resistance and defines an interior space. The case includes at least one partition wall defining a planar partition wall surface to partition the interior space respectively into one and another chambers. The bulb cassette is received in an opening of the case for accommodating a light bulb within the one chamber thereof and includes at least one planar heat shield wall formed of a heat resistant resin which extends in adjacent contact along the planar partition wall surface so as to shield the at least one partition wall and the other chamber from heat generated by the light bulb in the one chamber.

Thermal insulation structure for vehicle room lamp

Switch-controlled vehicle room lamps are provided with an insulating structure between bus bars disposed on a back surface of a case Short circuiting between the bus bars is prevented by fitting insulating members molded from a relatively flexible resin into grooves in which the bus bars are fitted to cover exposed surfaces of the bus bars at least entirely over a portion where the mutual distance of the bus bars are reduced. In some embodiments, the insulating members are formed with projections which are adapted to be fit within holes of the case into which severed bridge portions of the bus bar extend. The projections may advantageously be provided with an acute-angled distal end and a constriction at a midsection thereof.

Room lamp provided with insulating structure between bus bars thereof

A slide switch assembly comprises a housing and a slider having traveling contacts which define exposed contact faces. An accommodation section is formed in the housing to receive the slider and allow the slider to be moved slideably therein. A printed circuit board having fixed contact plates is attached to the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is assembled with the housing such that the fixed contact plates are in opposition to the traveling contacts and adapted to make electrical contact with the traveling contacts in response to sliding movement of the slider. Preferably, the printed circuit board includes a printed conduction pattern, and the fixed contact plates include fixation bases adapted to be soldered to the conduction pattern and a bent contact portion extending therefrom. The accommodation section is most preferably defined by a partition wall having openings such that the contact portions of the fixed contact plates are positioned to be exposed through the openings.

Slide switch assemblies

A push-button switch unit includes a push switch which is fixed to a main body and includes an operating part; and a push button fitted to the operating part. The push button is pressed in order to turn the push switch on and off. An undersurface of the push button is provided with a pair of shaft rods each having a columnar segment and a prismatic segment. The main body includes shaft sockets each having a circular hole segment and a rectangular hole segment for receiving a corresponding one of the shaft rods.
