Electromagnetic contactor

An electromagnetic contactor includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts having fixed contact portions and interposed in a current conduction path, and a movable contact having a pair of movable contact portions capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contact portions. At least one of the pair of fixed contacts or the movable contact is formed in a shape to form magnetic fields generating Lorentz forces opposing electromagnetic repulsion forces generated in an opening direction between the fixed contact portions and the movable contact portions when current is conducted. External connection conductors are connected to external connection terminals of the fixed contacts, an attachment direction of fixed portions fixed to the external connection terminal of the fixed contacts is set to cross a current flow direction flowing through the movable contact.

A contact device includes a pair of fixed contacts fixedly disposed inside an arc extinguishing chamber and maintaining a predetermined interval from each other; a movable contact disposed inside the arc extinguishing chamber, and contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts; a first arc root movement promotion portion formed on the pair of fixed contacts, and promoting a movement of a root of an arc in a direction away from the movable contact, the arc being generated when contacts are opened in which the movable contact moves away from the pair of fixed contacts; and a second arc root movement promotion portion formed on the movable contact, and promoting a movement of the root of the arc in a direction away from the relevant fixed contact.

Contact device, and electromagnetic switch in which the contact device is used

An electromagnetic contactor includes a fixed contact portion, a movable contact portion disposed facing the fixed contact portion to contact to and separate from the fixed contact portion, and an arc extinguishing receptacle forming an arc extinguishing chamber housing the fixed contact portion and movable contact portion. Among contact surfaces of the movable contact portion and fixed contact portion facing each other, at least an opposing distance between a contact end portion of the fixed contact portion and a contact end portion of the movable contact portion positioned in a moving direction of an arc generated when separating the movable contact portion from the fixed contact portion is set to increase with increasing proximity to end surfaces on contact end portion sides.

In an electromagnetic contactor, an arc generated when a movable contact separates from fixed contacts can be easily extinguished. The movable contact is disposed so as to be connectable to and detachable from the pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined interval inside a contact housing case having insulating properties, and an arc extinguishing chamber is formed in a position in which the movable contact and the pair of fixed contacts contact. At least the inner wall surface side of the arc extinguishing chamber contacting an arc is formed of a high thermal conductivity material having thermal conductivity higher than that of a synthetic resin molded material.

An electromagnetic contactor includes a contact mechanism having a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined interval in a longitudinal direction, and a movable contact disposed above the pair of fixed contacts, the movable contact contacting to and detaching from the pair of fixed contacts. Each of the pair of fixed contacts has a fixed contact portion, the movable contact extends in a longitudinal direction thereof and has a pair of movable contact portions contacting the pair of fixed contacts, and the movable contact is disposed so as to move in a vertical direction thereof on a connecting shaft fixed to a movable plunger and is pressed down by a biasing force of a contact spring in a downward direction thereof on a central portion of the movable contact in the longitudinal direction, the movable contact being held on the connecting shaft.

A contact device includes a pair of fixed contacts fixedly disposed inside an arc extinguishing chamber and maintaining a predetermined interval from each other; a movable contact disposed to contact to and separate from the pair of fixed contacts; and an arc root movement promotion portion formed on the movable contact to promote a movement of root of arc in a direction away from the fixed contacts. The root of arc is generated when the movable contacts are opened and separated from the pair of fixed contacts.

A contact device includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. The movable contact has a conductive plate portion extending in a direction crossing a moving direction of the movable contact in a contact housing case. Each of the pair of fixed contacts includes an inner side conductor plate portion having one end and the other end portion extending toward the outside of the contact housing case in parallel to the conductive plate portion, and an outer side conductor plate portion connected to the other end portion of the inner side conductor plate portion and extending in a direction separating from the movable contact, to form an L-shaped conductor portion to generate a Lorentz force opposing an electromagnetic repulsion force.

Contact device and electromagnetic contactor using the same

An electromagnetic contactor includes a contact device having a contact housing case formed from an insulating material and housing a pair of fixed contacts and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. On an inner peripheral surface of the contact housing case along the movable contact, arc extinguishing permanent magnets magnetized so that magnetic pole faces facing each other have same polarity are disposed to be near the movable contact.

Electromagnetic contact device

An electromagnetic switch has a contact device having a pair of fixed contacts fixed inside an arc extinguishing chamber housing and a movable contact disposed to contact with and separate from the fixed contacts; and an electromagnetic device having a movable plunger moving between an opened position wherein the movable contact separates from the fixed contacts and a closed position wherein the movable contact contacts with the fixed contacts and pressed down. The arc extinguishing chamber housing is provided with permanent magnets to extinguish an arc generated at an opening time when the movable contact separates from the fixed contacts from a state in the closed position wherein the movable contact is contacting with the fixed contacts. In a state wherein the movable plunger is in the opened position, a magnetic circuit is formed starting from the permanent magnets and returning to the permanent magnets through the movable plunger.

Electromagnetic switch

A magnetic contactor has a stationary contact including a first and second stationary contact pieces, each having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal portion, a third stationary contact piece disposed between the first stationary contact piece and the second stationary contact piece and having two stationary contact portions; a contact support casing supporting the stationary contact with the stationary terminal portions protruding out of the contact support casing; and a movable contact installed in the contact support casing, and including a first and second movable contact pieces contactable and separable from the stationary contact portions of the stationary contact pieces and the stationary contact portions of the third stationary contact piece accordingly, and an insulator fixing the first movable contact piece and the second movable contact piece. A driving mechanism drives the movable contact to contact and separate from the stationary contact.

Magnetic contactor

An electromagnetic contactor includes a first stationary contact having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal portion for connecting to a power supply; a second stationary contact having a stationary contact portion and a stationary terminal section for connecting to a load; a stationary-contact supporting case supporting the stationary terminal portions of the first and second stationary contacts to protrude the contact support casing, and maintaining a predetermined distance in between; a moving-contact portion contactable to and separable from the stationary contact portion of the first and second stationary contact and arranged in the stationary-contact supporting case; and a pair of arc-extinguishing magnets arranged in parallel to sandwich the moving-contact portion in the longitudinal direction and having same magnetic polarity at opposing magnetic pole surfaces. A driving mechanism drives the moving-contact portion contactable to and separable from the stationary contact portions of the first and second stationary contacts.

Electromagnetic contractor

An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. An insulating cover covering all except a contact portion contacting with the movable contact is mounted on the pair of fixed contacts.

An electromagnetic contactor has a contact device having a pair of fixed contacts and a movable contact; and an electromagnet unit including an exciting coil driving a movable plunger connected through a connecting shaft. The contact device is configured such that L-shaped portions have a contact portion formed in the pair of fixed contacts fixed maintaining a predetermined interval, and two ends of the movable contact are disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the contact portions of the L-shaped portion on a side opposite to that of the electromagnet unit. The electromagnet unit includes a magnetic yoke enclosing a plunger drive portion, a movable plunger having a leading end protruding through an aperture formed in the magnetic yoke and urged by a return spring, and a ring-form permanent magnet magnetized in a movable direction of the movable plunger and fixed to enclose a peripheral flange portion.
