A vehicle includes: an engine that generates driving force; a motor-generator that generates driving force; a battery electrically coupled to the motor-generator; an electric supercharger that compresses air with electric power supplied by the battery and to supply the compressed air to the engine; a navigation device that determines a route; and a control device including at least one processor and at least one memory coupled to the processor. The at least one processor performs processing including: identifying a downhill section in which a downhill slope on the route is located; determining, based on a state of charge of the battery at present time, an endpoint estimated state of charge of the battery at a point in time when the vehicle reaches an endpoint of the downhill section; and turning on the electric supercharger when the endpoint estimated state of charge is greater than or equal to a predetermined value.

Vehicle

A drive control system includes an engine, an electric turbocharger, and a controller. The engine includes a cylinder and a piston provided in a slidable manner inside the cylinder and rotates a crankshaft in accordance with sliding of the piston. The electric turbocharger supplies compressed air into the cylinder. The controller controls the engine and the electric turbocharger. The controller includes at least one processor and at least one memory coupled to the processor. The processor transmits a stoppage signal for stopping the engine to the engine, and stops the piston at a position where a crank angle is within a predetermined range from 60° before a top dead center to 30° before the top dead center by causing the electric turbocharger to supply the compressed air into the cylinder in a period from when the stoppage signal is transmitted to when stopping the engine is completed.

Drive control system

A vehicle includes a traveling motor, a traveling battery that drives at least one wheel, a low-voltage electric component, at least one processor, and a storage medium. The traveling battery includes battery modules each including battery cells and supplies electric power to the traveling motor. The low-voltage electric component operates at a voltage lower than an output voltage of the traveling battery. The storage medium stores a program to be executed by the processor. The program includes at least one command that causes the processor to perform a state-of-health (SOH) calculation process of calculating the SOH of the battery modules, and a selection process of selecting a low-voltage power feeder module from the battery modules based on the SOH calculated in the SOH calculation process. The low-voltage power feeder module corresponds to one of the battery modules to be used to supply electric power to the low-voltage electric component.

Vehicle system for battery module allocation

A control device for a vehicle predicts a collision of the vehicle with an object and then actuates a drive assist device. The control device includes a collision predictor, a drive assist controller, an engine controller, a first power supply system, a second power supply system, a switch, and a switch controller. When a possibility that the vehicle will collide with the object exceeds a threshold, the collision predictor outputs a collision alarm signal. When the collision alarm signal is output during driving of the starter motor, the engine controller stops the starter motor to increase an electric potential of the second power supply system, and the switch controller turns on the switch, based on a difference in electric potential between the first and second power supply systems.

Control device for vehicle

A power supply device for a vehicle includes first and second systems, a switch disposed between the systems, and first and second controllers. The first system includes a first power supply and a first electrical apparatus. The second system includes a second power supply and a second electrical apparatus. The first mode controller executes a low power mode where the switch is turned on to supply electric power from one of the first and second power supplies to the first and second electrical apparatuses. The second mode controller executes a high power mode where the switch is turned off to supply electric power from the first and second power supplies to the first and second electrical apparatuses, respectively. When a discharge electric current of the second power supply exceeds a threshold during the low power mode, the second mode controller switches the power supply mode to the high power mode.

Power supply device for vehicle

A power supply device for a vehicle includes first and second power supply systems, a switch, and first, second, and third mode controllers. The first power supply system includes: a first power supply including a first power storage and a first generator, and an electrical apparatus. The second power supply system includes a second power supply. When an SOC of the first power storage exceeds a lower limit, the first mode controller supplies electric power from the first power supply to the electrical apparatus. When the SOC decreases below the lower limit, the second mode controller supplies electric power from the second power supply to the electrical apparatus via the switch. When an abnormality is detected to have occurred in the switch during the second power supply mode, the third mode controller supplies the electric power from the first power supply to the electrical apparatus.
