A metal ring loading and unloading apparatus is capable of loading and unloading a metal ring quickly and highly accurately for increased efficiency. The metal ring loading and unloading apparatus has a moving unitslidably movable along a railwhich extends from a loaded ring placement unitto an unloaded ring placement unit. On the moving unit, there are mounted a loaded ring delivering unitfor holding and delivering a metal ring W on the loaded ring placement unitand an unloaded ring delivering unitfor removing the metal ring W from support rollersand delivering the metal ring W to the unloaded ring placement unit. The loaded ring placement unithas a pressing unit for radially pressing the metal ring W to deform the metal ring W into a substantially elliptical shape. The loaded ring delivering unithas a loaded ring gripping unitfor gripping the metal ring W deformed by the pressing unit. The unloaded ring delivering unithas an unloaded ring gripping unitfor gripping the metal ring W under its own recovering resiliency produced when the support rollersmove toward each other. The unloaded ring placement unithas a releasing unit for releasing the metal ring W from the unloaded ring gripping unit

Metal ring inputting and outputting device

An apparatus for correcting the circumferential length of a metal ring has a drive rollerand a driven rollerpositionable closely to each other for training a metal ring W therearound, and a correcting rollerdisposed between the drive rollerand the driven roller. The apparatus also has a first displacement applying unit for displacing the drive rollerand the driven rolleraway from each other when the metal ring W is trained around the drive roller, the driven roller, and the correcting roller. The apparatus further includes spacersfor spacing the drive rollerand the driven rollera predetermined distance from each other when the drive rollerand the driven rollerare released from being displaced, a second displacement applying unitfor displacing the correcting rollerin a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the drive rollerand the driven rollerare displaced and also to extend the metal ring W, thereby to correct the circumferential length of the metal ring W, and a third displacement applying unitfor displacing the drive rollerand the driven rollertoward each other when the drive roller, the driven roller, and the correcting rollerare released from being displaced by the first and second displacement applying units

Device for correcting circumferential length of metal ring

A drum slicing apparatus is capable of highly accurately and efficiently slicing a drum made of a thin metal sheet which is relatively highly flexible. The drum slicing apparatus has a support shaft rotatable about its own axis, a cylindrical drum holder supported on the support shaft for holding the drum by pressing engagement with an inner circumferential surface of the drum over an entire length thereof, and a slicing device having slicing edges for slicing the drum into the metal rings by engaging and cutting into the drum at predetermined cutting positions thereon while the drum is being rotated by the support shaft through the drum holder.
