A liquid ejection apparatus includes a pressure sensor and a determining unit. The pressure sensor is configured to detect a pressure in an ink supply path for use in supplying ink from an ink tank to a recording head. The determining unit determines whether the ink supply path is anomalous based on a result of detection of the pressure in the ink supply path by the pressure sensor performed in response to application of a fluctuating pressure to the ink in the ink tank.

A printing apparatus drive control method is provided which allows the user to select a drive mode in which a printing apparatus can be operated with reduced operation noise whatever print mode is set, such as a fine print mode or a fast print mode, thus eliminating a problem of emitting noisy operation sound to surroundings late at night when a level of noise is comparatively low. It is an object of the present invention to use a simple configuration to reduce the deviate of an image printed position caused by the behavior of a print sheet when the back end of the sheet slips out from an upstream roller pair. Thus, the present invention provides a printing apparatus including transporting section for transporting a print medium relative to printing heads for printing an image on a print sheet, the apparatus comprising vibrating section for vibrating the transporting section. This vibrating section vibrates the transporting section before the printing heads start a printing operation. Thus, even if the transporting section is stopped at an unstable position when a transporting operation is stopped, the applied vibration brings the transporting section into a stable state sufficiently before a printing operation is started.

Printing apparatus and method

A recording apparatus includes a feed roller which feeds a paper sheet, a feed motor which drives the feed roller, and a loss-of-synchronism detecting unit which detects loss of synchronism of the feed motor. When loss of synchronism of the feed motor is detected by the loss-of-synchronism detecting unit, the rotational speed of the feed motor is reduced stepwise. Accordingly, it is not necessary to provide a high operational margin in the motor, and a recording apparatus, in which the motor and power supply costs are reduced, can be provided.

A cleaning mode is provided in which while the sheet feeding part is abutted against the first separating member, it is rotated for a predetermined number of revolutions so as to clean the surface of the sheet feeding part.

A sheet feeding apparatus has a sheet stacking portion for stacking sheets; a sheet feeding roller for feeding the sheets from the sheet stacking means; a separating portion for separating the sheets one by one; a returning claw for returning the sheet other than the sheets separated by the separating portion toward the sheet stacking portion; wherein the returning claw effects its sheet returning operation when the sheet other than the sheet separated from the separating portion passes through a predetermined position.

Sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus provided with same

The present invention relates to a recording apparatus for recording with a recording section including a feeding section for separately feeding recording paper sheet by sheet and a conveyance route extending substantially straight for conveying a recording medium having a high rigidity. A part of the feeding section is overlapped with the conveyance route in a vertical cross-sectional direction, but is not overlapped in a direction intersecting with the conveyance direction of the recording medium.

An area on the printing sheet which can be printed through a single scanning operation of a printing head is divided into a plurality of smaller areas. The printing sheet is transported a distance corresponding to each divided area to print the image using different nozzles of the printing head for each divided area. When a back end portion of the printing sheet is printed, the distance transported is reduced to set inoperative nozzles that are not used for the printing operation. Then, when the printing sheet slips out from the upstream roller pair and it is then detected that the printing sheet is to be transported a distance longer than predetermined amount of rotation of the roller, the inoperative nozzles are used to shift an operative nozzle range depending on the extra amount of rotation. Thus, the extra transportation of the printing sheet is corrected.

A deep groove ball bearing has an inner ring, an outer ring and a plurality of balls located between the inner ring and the outer ring. A profile deformation quantity of a raceway groove of the inner ring and a profile deformation quantity of the outer ring are limited to values at which the maximum surface pressure values of them are each 1.6 GPa or smaller.

An ink jet recording apparatus for recording onto a recording medium using an ink jet recording head which discharges ink, comprises a conveyor which conveys a recording medium, a mount for mounting an ink jet recording head, and an air flow generator. The air flow generator generates an air flow for transporting ink mist generated when ink is discharged from the ink jet recording head, floating in the inside of the ink jet recording apparatus and unused for recording. The head mount mounts the recording head such that ink is discharged toward a recording region located downward of the head mount, and is arranged forwardly of supporting members that support the head mount, and the air flow generator forms an air flow directed downwardly from above and forwardly of the supporting members.
