A switch system includes a bidirectional switch, a first gate driver circuit, a second gate driver circuit, a control unit, a first decision unit, and a second decision unit. The bidirectional switch includes a first source, a second source, a first gate, and a second gate. The first decision unit determines, based on a voltage at the first gate and a first threshold voltage, a state of the first gate in a first period in which a signal to turn OFF the first gate is output from the control unit to the first gate driver circuit. The second decision unit determines, based on a voltage at the second gate and a second threshold voltage, a state of the second gate in a second period in which a signal to turn OFF the second gate is output from the control unit to the second gate driver circuit.

Switch system

A power conversion system converts an input alternating-current voltage having a first frequency into an output alternating-current voltage having a second frequency lower than the first frequency. The power conversion system includes a voltage converter, a PDM controller, and a feedback controller. The voltage converter converts the input alternating-current voltage into the output alternating-current voltage in accordance with control signals and outputs the output alternating-current voltage to a load. The PDM controller performs pulse density modulation of an output voltage command value of the output alternating-current voltage to generate the control signals and outputs the control signals to the voltage converter. The feedback controller generates the output voltage command value based on an output current value of the voltage converter and a state of the load and outputs the output voltage command value to the PDM controller.

To develop a motor which can directly drive a brushless motor using a conventional circuit for an inverter without smoothing circuit and a circuit for a matrix converter that are for a brushed motor that operates on single-phase 100 V. Magnetic cores are attached to a motor shaft to increase inertial force. A magnetic-drive-pulsation motor which modulates torque is realized using force of attraction and repulsion generated by outer magnets and magnetic cores. The magnetic-drive-pulsation motor can be driven using the inverter and the matrix converter on single-phase 100 V power supply.

An electrically conductive polymer actuator having a laminated structure including: a solid electrolyte membrane constituted with a mixture of an ionic liquid, and an organic polymer that contains at least one or more of a vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene copolymer [P(VDF/HFP)], polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a perfluorosulfonic acid/PTFE copolymer, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethylene oxide (PEO) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN); and an electrically conductive polymer membrane constituted with a mixture of polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSS) and polyethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) on at least one face of the solid electrolyte membrane, characterized in that polyethylene glycol is included in the electrically conductive polymer membrane.

Electrically conductive polymer actuator, method for manufacturing the same, and method of driving the same

A plane thin-type polymer actuator is provided with a conductive active member serving as a first electrode layer, and a second electrode layer, with at least a first electrolytic layer made in contact with the active member layer. The first electrolytic layer being sealed between the two electrode layers so that, by applying an electric field between the two electrode layers, the active member layer is expanded and contracted. In this structure, the first electrolytic layer is a solid-state electrolyte having a specific elastic modulus, or a liquid-state electrolyte. A holding member is provided to maintain the thickness between the active member layer and the second electrode layer.

It is a principal object of the present invention to provide a dielectric having a high relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss minimized in high frequency bands. That is, the present invention relates to a composite dielectric comprising conductive particles dispersed in a porous body of inorganic oxide, wherein 1) the relative dielectric constant &#xa5;r of the dielectric in high frequency bands of 1 GHz or more is 4 or more, and 2) the dielectric loss tan&#x3b4; of the dielectric in high frequency bands of 1 GHz or more is 2&#xd7;10or less, and to a manufacturing method therefor.
