An active matrix display device comprises a substrate having an insulating surface, a plurality of pixel electrodes arranged in a matrix form over the substrate, and a plurality of switching elements operationally connected to the pixel electrodes. Each of the switching elements further comprise a thin film transistor. The display device further includes a display medium comprising an emissive material that is capable of electrically changing luminous strength disposed at each of the pixel electrodes, and a driver circuit that includes a plurality of thin film transistors for driving the plurality of switching elements. Each of the plurality of thin film transistors comprise a crystallized semiconductor layer, a gate insulating film adjacent to the crystallized semiconductor layer and a gate electrode adjacent to the gate insulating film.

Redundancy shift register circuit for driver circuit in active matrix type liquid crystal display device

In an information processing system provided with a camera and a microphone, for transmitting and receiving information of a user to and from another information processing system through a transmission lime, image data of the user obtained by a camera is stored in a memory in advance. When one user communicates another user, image data of the one user is obtained by the camera and is synthesized with the image data stored in the memory in advance by image-processing. The clothes, hair, background, make-up etc. of the one user are made different to reality and the image data are transmitted to the another user in the communication.

An active matrix liquid crystal display having improved reliability. Pixel regions and a peripheral driver circuit are integrally packed on the display. TFTs forming the peripheral driver circuit are located inside a sealing material layer on the side of a liquid crystal material, thus protecting the peripheral driver circuit from external moisture and contaminants. This enhances the long-term reliability of the peripheral driver circuit. Pixel TFTs are arranged in pixel regions. The leads going from the TFTs forming the peripheral driver circuit to the pixel TFTs are shortened. This results in a reduction in the resistance. As a result, the display characteristics are improved.

Active matrix display and forming method thereof

In an information processing system provided with a camera and a microphone, for transmitting and receiving information of a user to and from another information processing system through a transmission line, image data of the user obtained by a camera is stored in a memory in advance. When one user communicates another user, image data of the one user is obtained by the camera and is synthesized with the image data stored in the memory in advance by image-processing. A data holding control signal for each data line is supplied to a plurality of source followers that are connected together in parallel. The parallel-connected source followers are a combination of at least one first follower that is illuminated with laser light only once and at least one second follower that is illuminated twice. A width of the laser light illumination for crystallization is equal to a pitch of the source followers multiplied by an integer that is not less than 3.

Drive circuit of active matrix device and manufacturing method thereof

In a liquid crystal display (LCD) device, two continuous frame image data to be displayed on a display unit are compared with each other by a comparator circuit, and horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals are regulated in accordance with a comparison result. That is, when the two frame image data coincide with each other, the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals are not output to the display unit through the controller, in order to decrease the number of scannings of frames to be displayed. Also, when the LCD device has a backlight unit and two frame image data coincide with each other, the backlight unit is turned off.

Herein disclosed a communications system according to the present invention comprises, a wireless microphone transmission apparatus for transmitting a radio microphone signal on a predetermined wireless microphone frequency channel carrying a voice signal and a tone signal; and a wireless receiving apparatus for receiving the radio microphone signal on the predetermined wireless microphone frequency channel carrying the voice signal and the tone signal transmitted by the wireless microphone transmission apparatus. The wireless receiving apparatus includes an integral computing unit for sequentially computing integrals of the signal levels of the tones of the tone signal at first predetermined time intervals and a data information computing unit for sequentially computing differences between two respective integrals of the signal levels of the tones of the tone signal, at respective second predetermined time intervals to acquire data information.
