A pivotal lever has a first therapeutic member and a second therapeutic member positioned below the first member, for the members to grip and knead the shoulder of the person to be massaged as by the fingers of the acupressurist. A massage unitcomprises a pair of left and right pivotal leverspivotally movably arranged on a chassis, and a first therapeutic memberand a second therapeutic memberarranged on each of the pivotal leversand movable toward and away from each other. The first and second therapeutic membershave motion conversioncoupled thereto for converting the pivotal movement of the pivotal leverinto the movement of the first and second therapeutic memberstoward and away from each other. The first and second therapeutic membersgrip the shoulder of the person when moved toward each other and release the shoulder from the gripping action when moved away from each other to thereby cause the members to simulate the gripping and kneading movement of the acupressurist.

A massage assembly () wherein a massage unit () comprising a therapeutic member () for massaging the body of the user by a kneading and/or tapping movement is reciprocatingly moved between a pair of frames () () and which comprises a motion converting mechanism for converting the reciprocating movement of the massage unit () to the kneading and/or tapping movement of the therapeutic member (). Massage assembly and massage machine incorporating same

A less heavy and small-sized assisted wheelchair that does not require so much manual labor of an assistant's handle operation. The wheelchair D comprises a frame assembly 1, casters 2 and 3, driving wheels 4 and 5, handrims 6 and 7, and a battery portion 11. In the inside of the casing 14 which covers the hub shaft 13 of the driving wheel 4, there are disposed a driving force detector 40 for detecting the human driving force applied to the handrim 6, a motor 21 for auxiliarily driving the driving wheel 4, and a controller 20 for controlling the motor 21 based on the result of the detection by the driving force detector 40. Also, on the upper rear portion of the frame assembly 1, there is disposed a driving force detector 50 for detecting the human driving force applied to the handles 8 and 9 by the assistant. The controller 20 controls and drives the motor 21 in accordance with the amount of human driving force of the assistant detected by the driving force detector 50.

Wheelchair

A sheet member feeding cassette comprises a main unit wherein sheet members are stored in a stacked manner. A longitudinal hole extending in the direction of feeding sheet member is formed on a supporting plate installed above a bottom plate of the main body, and a pin extending from the bottom plate is inserted into this longitudinal hole so as to be movable along this hole. A bent slit is formed on the long lever supported rotatably by a shaft between the bottom plate and the supporting plate, and the pin is inserted through this slit. By moving a contact plate fixed to the top of the pin along the longitudinal slit, the lever is pushed by the pin, being rotated. A piece to be detected installed outside the main unit and also an indicator panel are fixed to a wire fixed to the free end of the lever. When the position of the contact plate is changed the position of the piece to be detected is changed and also the position of the indicator panel is changed. Thereby, a detecting switch detects the position of the piece to be detected and a signal responding to the position of the contact plate, that is the length of the sheet member is outputted, and the size thereof is indicated visually through a window by the indicator panel.

Sheet member feeding cassette

A waste toner collecting apparatus includes a first cylindrical member for receiving a waste toner scraped off from a photosensitive member, and a screw conveyor housed by the first cylindrical member for conveying the waste toner. A first opening is formed at a downstream side of the screw conveyor of the first cylindrical member. A second cylindrical member is fitted onto an outer circumference of the first cylindrical member, and a second opening is formed thereon at a part corresponding to the first opening and an engaging portrusion is formed outside thereof. A waste toner container is mounted in a free engagement in such in way that a cylindrical portion thereof surrounds the second cylindrical member and a rib engageable with the engaging protrusion of the second cylindrical member is formed thereon. In the case where the protrusion of the second cylindrical member is engaged with the rib of the waste toner container, two openings formed in the cylindrical members are aligned and therefore the waste toner is able to be collected into the waste toner container. When the protrusion and the rib are disengaged from each other, the two openings are in different positions and therefore the first opening is closed or shut off by the second cylindrical member.
