A V-ribbed belt which comprises core wires and a stretch rubber layer constituted of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition comprising a rubber ingredient and short is provided. The content of the short fibers in the rubber composition is 15-50 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber ingredient and the rubber composition has a minimum Mooney scorch viscosity, as measured at 125° C., of 70-130.

V-ribbed belt, production method therefor, and rubber composition

A V-ribbed belt includes a compression rubber layer having a frictional power transmission surface that is covered with a fabric. The compression rubber layer includes an inner rubber layer in contact with the fabric and an outer rubber layer on an outer side of the inner rubber layer. The inner rubber layer is formed of a rubber composition having a Mooney Scorch minimum viscosity of 50 to 110 when measured at 125° C., and the outer rubber layer is formed of a rubber composition having a Mooney Scorch minimum viscosity of 70 to 130 when measured at 125° C.

V-ribbed belt and method for producing same

The present invention relates to a frictional power transmission belt containing a compression layer having a power transmission surface, at least a part of which is capable of coming into contact with a pulley, in which the compression layer contains a polymer component and a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin.
