A monitoring system according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: a sensor to measure physical quantities at one or a plurality of measurement points of a structural body; processing circuitry configured to acquire measured values from the measurer; a memory to store the measured values acquired from the measurer; and a data storage that, when one or some of the measured values stored in the memory satisfy a predetermined trigger condition, and as a result, it is determined that the structural body has received impact, records a group of data of the measured values which are within a certain time range and include the measured value based on which it is determined that the trigger condition is satisfied.

The object is to provide an injector with a built-in ignition device that can achieve downsize of device as a whole without changing significantly the structure of a fuel injection device. To improve a propagation speed of a flame by effectively utilizing energy of the electromagnetic wave in the combustion chamber in an internal combustion engine that promotes combustion of fuel air mixture in a combustion chamber by means of an electromagnetic wave. The internal combustion engine includes, in addition to an internal combustion engine main body and an ignition device, an electromagnetic wave emission device and a control device. The electromagnetic wave emission device emits an electromagnetic wave to the combustion chamber while the flame is being propagated after ignition of the fuel air mixture. The control device controls a frequency of the electromagnetic wave emitted to the combustion chamber in view of a resonant frequency of the combustion chamber in accordance with an operation condition of the internal combustion engine main body or a propagation condition of the flame.

The ignition system has an electromagnetic wave oscillator which oscillates electromagnetic waves, a control device that controls the electromagnetic wave oscillator, a plasma generator which integrates a booster circuit containing a resonant circuit capacitive coupled with the electromagnetic wave oscillator, and a discharge electrode which discharges a high voltage generated by the booster circuit. The plasma generator includes a plurality of discharge electrodes arranged so as to be exposed within the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.

The present invention aims at realizing a gas concentration estimation apparatus with versatility wherein the gas concentration estimation apparatus estimates concentration of a target component in an analyte gas by analyzing a light emitted from plasma of the analyte gas. The present invention is directed to a gas concentration estimation apparatus including: a plasma generation device that turns an analyte gas into a plasma state; and an analysis device that analyzes plasma light emitted from the plasma generated by the plasma generation device and estimates concentration of a target component in the analyte gas wherein the analysis device estimates the concentration of the target component based on luminescence intensity of a wavelength component corresponding to luminescence from a predetermined radical within the plasma light, and the predetermined radical is different in atomic structure from the target component and includes an atom or a molecule separated from the target component.

An aim of the present invention is, in a plug for high frequency emission disposed at an end of a casing having an emission antenna, to suppress a high frequency noise emitted from the emission antenna. The present invention is directed to a plug for high frequency emission including a transmission line for transmitting an electromagnetic wave, an emission antenna for emitting the electromagnetic wave supplied via the transmission line, and a casing constituted by a cylindrical shaped conductor, provided with the emission antenna at one end of the casing, and accommodating therein the transmission line extending from the emission antenna toward the other end of the casing. Inside of the casing, a central conductor electrically connected to the emission antenna and an outer conductor spaced apart from and surrounding the central conductor are embedded in an insulator so as to collectively constitute the transmission line, and the outer conductor is disposed in and held in non-contact with the casing.

High-frequency radiation plug

An ignition device is provided, the ignition device comprises a coaxial structural body comprising an inner conductor, an outer conductor, and an insulatorthat insulates both the conductorsand, which are coaxially provided with one another along an axial direction. Ignition device

The present invention aims at effectively emitting an electromagnetic wave to a combustion chamber from an emission antenna in an internal combustion engine that promotes combustion of an air fuel mixture utilizing the electromagnetic wave. The present invention is directed to an internal combustion engine including: an internal combustion engine main body formed with a combustion chamber; and an electromagnetic wave emission device that emits an electromagnetic wave to the combustion chamber from an emission antenna. The internal combustion engine promotes combustion of the air fuel mixture by way of the electromagnetic wave emitted to the combustion chamber. The emission antenna is provided in an insulating member and extends along the partitioning surface. The insulating member is provided on a partitioning surface that partitions the combustion chamber. A ground conductor is provided in the insulating member on a side opposite to the combustion chamber in relation to the emission antenna and is electrically grounded.

To alleviate or eliminate a problem of unburned fuel discharged to the outside of a cylinder in a case in which an air fuel mixture is insufficiently combusted in a combustion chamber. During the expansion stroke in which a high voltage is applied to an ignition plug via an ignition coil, and a spark discharge is caused to occur at the ignition plug, thereby the air fuel mixture in the combustion chamber is ignited and combusted, in a case in which deterioration of combustion state is detected, a microwave electric field is created in the combustion chamber prior to an opening timing of an exhaust valve at an end stage of the expansion stroke, thereby plasma is generated and enlarged in the combustion chamber.

Control device for spark ignition type internal combustion engine

To provide an ignition plug having low power loss even though iron is a main component of a center electrode thereof, to which a high frequency power such as a microwave is electrically supplied. A low impedance layercomposed of a material having magnetic permeability lower than iron is provided between an outer peripheral surface of a center electrodeand an inner peripheral surface of an axial holeof an insulator. The low impedance layeris in contact with at least the outer peripheral surface (surface) of the center electrode, thereby reducing power loss of an electromagnetic wave flowing on the surface of the center electrode. More particularly, the low impedance layeris made of silver, copper, gold, aluminum, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium, zirconium, niobium, tantalum, bismuth, palladium, lead, tin, an alloy composed mainly of these metals, or a composite material of these metals.

The volume measuring device has a coating forming means which, using resin, forms a coating on either part or all of the inner surface of the cylinder; a pressure measuring means which introduces a fixed quantity of gas into the cylinder in which the coating has been formed, or derives a fixed quantity of gas from the inside of the cylinder, and measures the pressure within the cylinder before and after the introduction/derivation; and a volume calculating means which uses the pressure value obtained by the pressure measuring means to calculate the volume of the cylinder.

The ignition coil is not supported on the side toward the head part relative to the support member nearest the head part.

In an internal combustion engine that causes a predetermined gas flow in a combustion chamber, discharge plasma generated by a discharge device is caused to effectively absorb energy of an electromagnetic wave emitted from an electromagnetic wave emission device. At a time when a discharge operation and an emission operation are simultaneously performed so as to ignite a fuel air mixture, an emitting position of the electromagnetic wave on an antenna during the emission operation is located downstream of the discharge gap in a direction of the gas flow at the discharge gap so as to face toward the discharge plasma that has been drifted due to the gas flow.
