A cured product of a resin composition according to the present invention includes at least silsesquioxane. When the average thermal expansion coefficient of the cured product at 30 to 200° C. is expressed as α1 [K], at least one of requirements α1/α2≥10 and (α1−α2)×10≥0.4 is satisfied, where a reference value α2 is 350×10[K] or less. In the cured product, an absorbance derived from a siloxane bond, an absorbance derived from a hydrocarbon group, and an absorbance derived from a hydroxy group are respectively expressed as Ia, Ib, and Ic, the absorbances being determined by attenuated total reflection using a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer. In this case, requirements 0.09≤Ia/Ib≤3.0 and 0.04≤Ic/Ib≤1.0 are satisfied.

A fluorescent light detection device includes: an excitation light source; an excitation light fiber; a fluorescent light fiber; a detector configured to receive the fluorescent light emitted from the fluorescent light fiber; a retention member configured to retain the fibers so that an emitting end face of the excitation light fiber and an incident end face of the fluorescent light fiber are located at close proximity; an excitation light selection filter provided in contact with the emitting end face; and a fluorescent light selection filter provided in contact with the incident end face. The excitation light emitted from the emitting end face irradiates a test object via the excitation light selection filter and the fluorescent light produced by the test object is incident on the incident end face via the fluorescent light selection filter.

A method of manufacturing an optical component having an optical element and a holder attached to the optical element, comprising the steps of: inserting a blank for the optical element into a through hole of the holder wherein the through hole has a narrowed portion at which the blank is prevented from passing through the through hole; sucking at least the blank from an upper side thereof in a state where the blank is inserted into the through hole; transporting the holder and the blank simultaneously to a molding device; placing the blank on a molding surface of the molding device; and heating and pressurizing the blank in the molding device so that the blank is deformed to obtain a predetermined optical surface and is press-fitted to an inner face of the holder.
