A cordless telephone system comprises a base unit which cam accept information services for stationary telephone sets, and which can transmit and receive various signals by way of networks, and a wireless handset which wirelessly communicates with the base unit in two-ways, wherein the wireless handset can accept information services for stationary telephone sets in pair with the unit. With this arrangement, information obtained from the information services for stationary telephone sets can be seen even at a position remote from the base unit.

Cordless telephone system

A received telephone number is classified into group and stored by a simple operation, and is used as the telephone number when making a call. It comprises a telephone number detector () for detecting an incoming telephone number from a telephone line, an operation unit () for specifying the group of the detected telephone number, a memory () for storing the information of the specified group and the telephone number in correspondence, and LED () for displaying multiple colors. In the incoming operation, the lamp color is changed to display which group the received telephone number belongs to, and the call receiver easily recognizes the call is from which specific group. Further, when dialing by making use of the stored telephone number, the telephone number is displayed and searched in each group.

Telephone apparatus

A navigation system and a voice guidance method for carrying out a voice guidance of an intersection on a drive route when the user demands the voice guidance while a motor vehicle is running according to a preset drive route. In response to the output demand of the guidance information through an inputting unit, a control unit obtains a distance to the intersection and an advancing direction in the intersection and further reads out the corresponding sound data from a sound storing unit. A telephone set provided with a telephone ringer for producing a ringing sound, a telephone number storing device for storing a telephone number of a specific party in response to a registration operation performed by a user, a telephone number detecting device for detecting telephone number data input from a telephone line and a control device for controlling and causing the ringer to produce a ringing sound when a telephone number indicated by the telephone number detected by the telephone number detecting device matches the telephone number stored in the telephone number storing device. Thereby, when the specific party phones the user, the user can easily know this. For example, if the user is going to concentrate his mind upon his work, or if the user is immersed in his work at a distance from the telephone set, the user can readily know whether or not a caller is the specific party, the telephone number of which is registered in the telephone set. Consequently, the telephone set can prevent the user from making an unnecessary response to a call given by a calling party other than the specific party.
