A diagnostic apparatus for a vehicle provided with a continuously-variable transmission including a primary pulley, a secondary pulley and a belt looped over the primary and secondary pulleys, such that each of the primary and secondary pulleys includes a hydraulic actuator to which a working fluid is to be supplied. The diagnostic apparatus is configured, in event of occurrence of slippage of the belt on at least one of the primary and secondary pulleys, to infer a factor causing the slippage of the belt, based on at least one of a hydraulic pressure of the working fluid supplied to the hydraulic actuator of the primary pulley and a hydraulic pressure of the working fluid supplied to the hydraulic actuator of the secondary pulley, upon the occurrence of the slippage of the belt.

Diagnostic apparatus for vehicle

A belt-slippage diagnostic apparatus for a continuously-variable transmission that includes a primary pulley, a secondary pulley and a belt looped over the primary and secondary pulleys. The belt-slippage diagnostic apparatus includes a slippage determination portion configured to determine occurrence of slippage of the belt on at least one of the primary and secondary pulleys, when a first-order derivative of a gear ratio, which is a ratio of a rotational speed of the primary pulley to a rotational speed of the secondary pulley, is not smaller than a first threshold value and a second-order derivative of the gear ratio is not smaller than a second threshold value.

In a chain belt having: plurality of link plates each provided with a pin hole; plurality of connecting pins to connect a part of the plurality of link plates in an endless annular form by being inserted into the pin holes across the part of the plurality of link plates in a state where the part of the plurality of link plates are overlapped; and a retainer pin welded to an end portion of the connecting pin and engaged with the link plate to prevent the link plate from coming off the connecting pin, the retainer pin is disposed in a posture in which an outer circumferential surface is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the connecting pin, and a plurality of points on the outer circumferential surface of the retainer pin separated from each other in the circumferential direction are welded to the connecting pin.

In an element of a power transfer belt to be wound around a primary pulley and a secondary pulley of a continuously variable transmission to transfer torque, the distance from a boundary line between a surface positioned on the outer peripheral side of the power transfer belt with respect to a rocking edge portion and the rocking edge portion to a saddle surface is determined from the slip amount due to micro slip which is relative slipping between the element and the primary pulley caused when the primary pulley pushes out the power transfer belt toward the secondary pulley, and the angular speed of the element and the angular speed of a ring in a range in which the power transfer belt is wound around the secondary pulley.

A vane oil pump includes a rotor including a plurality of slits, a housing having an inner circumferential cam surface such that a first pump unit and a second pump unit taking in and discharging oil in accordance with rotation of the rotor are separately disposed in a rotational direction of the rotor, a plurality of vanes respectively fitted in the slits of the rotor, and a pressure adjusting device configured to adjust a second discharge pressure of the second pump unit to a lower pressure than a first discharge pressure of the first pump unit. The control system reduces a control amount of the feeding valve to be smaller than that calculated based on a pressure difference in a case other than one in which pressure in the hydraulic chamber is increased by delivering oil to another chamber, in case the pressure in the hydraulic chamber is increased by delivering the oil to the other chamber. The control system reduces a control amount of the discharging valve to be smaller than that calculated based on the pressure difference in a case other than one in which pressure in the hydraulic chamber is lowered by discharging the oil from the other chamber, in case the pressure in the hydraulic chamber is lowered by discharging the oil to the other chamber.

Seal device for hydraulic circuit

A hydraulic control unit configured to improve energy efficiency is provided. The hydraulic control unit is comprised of: a feeding passage that delivers fluid from at least any of an oil pump and an accumulator storing hydraulic pressure to an actuator; a draining passage that discharge the fluid from the actuator to a drain spot; and a discharging means that is configured to selectively discharge the fluid from the actuator to the accumulator through the feeding passage, if the fluid has to be discharged from the actuator and a pressure of the accumulator is lower than that of the actuator.

Power transmission unit for vehicle

A hydraulic control unit is provided. A valve is comprised of a piston having a valve element, a cylinder holding the piston while allowing to reciprocate axially, a positive pressure chamber formed on one side of the piston to which pressure to open the valve is applied, a back pressure chamber formed on the other side of the piston to which the pressure to close the valve is applied, and a connection passage for differentiating pressures in the positive pressure chamber and the back pressure chamber. A pilot valve selectively connects the back pressure chamber with a site where the pressure is lower than that of the back pressure chamber. Hydraulic pressure lower than that applied to positive pressure chamber is applied to a low pressure section. The hydraulic control unit comprises a means to deliver the fluid from the low pressure section to the back pressure chamber if an opening motion of the valve is slower than a predetermined reference value, by opening the pilot valve to connect the back pressure chamber with the low pressure section.

A vehicle control device includes an engine that is a power source of a vehicle, a transmission configured to connect the engine to a drive wheel of the vehicle, and a clutch configured to connect or block transmission of power between the engine and the drive wheel through the transmission. The vehicle control device is capable of executing predetermined control to allow the vehicle to travel while stopping supplying fuel to the engine and releasing the clutch that has been engaged, during travel of the vehicle, and the vehicle control device downshifts the transmission at the time the clutch is released in the predetermined control. It is possible to shift the transmission into a lowest-speed side gear ratio by the downshift.

Vehicle control device

A hydraulic circuit and a hydraulic control system for preventing fluid leakage and power loss resulting from jamming of contaminants. A first circuit section has an accumulator for storing hydraulic pressure, and a control valve for controlling a passage for delivering fluid from the accumulator to an actuator. Fluid discharged from an oil pump is delivered continuously to a second circuit section. A first filter is disposed on a passage for delivering the fluid from the oil pump to the accumulator for the purpose of removing contaminants finer than those in the fluid to be delivered to the second circuit section from the fluid to be delivered to the accumulator.

Hydraulic circuit and control system therefor

A sheave positioning device is provided. A valve element is arranged on a flow path to close the flow path when pushed in a direction against a pressure from hydraulic chambers, and a valve closing mechanism is also arranged on the flow path to generate a thrust force for pushing the valve element in the direction against a pressure from the hydraulic chambers. The valve closing mechanism is adapted to generate the thrust force, which is larger than a load to be applied to the valve element to push the valve element in a direction to open the valve element in case a predetermined speed change ratio is being set, but smaller than a load to be applied to the valve element to push the valve element in a direction to open the valve element in case the pressure in the hydraulic chambers is raised to the maximum pressure.

A hydraulic pressure control device for a transmission, which operates a hydraulic apparatus by hydraulic pressure generated by an pump driven during operation of a driving force source, for which automatic stop control is performed, accumulates the hydraulic pressure in a pressure accumulator, and supplies the hydraulic pressure accumulated in the pressure accumulator to the hydraulic apparatus when the driving force source is automatically stopped is provided. The automatic stop control includes control to stop the driving force source when the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than a prescribed vehicle speed; and the hydraulic pressure control device performs a control to control an accumulated oil amount in the pressure accumulator and the automatic stop control in a manner to increase the accumulated oil amount of the pressure accumulator when the driving force source is automatically stopped.

A switch valve which is configured such that a plurality of land sections and a valley section between the land sections are formed in a valve element that advances or retreats in an axial direction according to a manual operation, a plurality of port sections opened are provided in a cylinder section in which the valve element is inserted so as to be capable of advancing and retreating, and the prescribed port sections are made to communicate with each other via the valley section according to a position of the valve element in the axial direction or be blocked by the land section, the switch valve includes a seal section that seals a space between portions on both sides in the axial direction across either one of the land sections in a liquid-tight manner.
