A board connector for fixing a printed circuit board on which a conductor circuit is formed includes a first connector housing, a second connector housing, an operating lever and an auxiliary lever. The first connector housing, accommodating a plurality of first terminals therein. The second connector housing, accommodating a plurality of second terminals therein, and provided above the first connector housing. The operating lever, pivotably coupled to the first connector housing and the second housing for moving the first connector housing and the second connector to closer each other between a first position and a second position. The auxiliary lever, pivotably coupled to the operating lever and the first connector housing for restricting the pivotal range of the operating lever. The first connector housing and the second connector housing have a space for inserting end portions of the printed circuit board therebetween when the operation lever is located in the first position. The printed circuit board is secured between the first connector housing and the second connector housing when the operation lever is located in the second position.

Simultaneously with the arrangement of the FFC ( ) on a vehicle-body-panel-side portion of the roof trim, the room lamp ( ) is mounted in the lamp mounting window.

A primary compact is formed as a resin article by using a single die to thereby integrally mold a connector housing, a rear holder, and a lock spacer so that the attaching directions of such parts are the same direction. In an assembling process, the connector housing is detached from the primary compact. Subsequently, the rear holder adjoining the connector housing is detached from a sub-runner. Then, a terminal slipping-off preventing piece of the rear holder is inserted into a terminal insertion opening of the connector housing from above the terminal insertion opening. Thereafter, the lock spacer adjoining the rear holder is detached from the sub-runner and inserted into a latching concave portion of the connector housing from above in such a manner as to be in a temporarily caught state. Thus, the parts are assembled into a connector.

A lamp unit for mounting in a lamp mounting window formed in an interior wall member covering a vehicle body panel, the lamp unit includes: a wire connection terminal; a wire fastened to the wire connection terminal and installed on the interior wall member; and bent portions formed respectively at portions of the wire adjacent to the lamp unit so that the bent portions are engaged respectively with predetermined positioning projections formed on a fastening stand for positioning the wire to a wire connection portion of the wire connection terminal.

A coated wire crimping portion having a pair of grip pieces is provided on one side of a pressure connecting terminal , in which a coated wire is connected to the other side by pressure. This other side includes a first pressure connecting portion comprising a pair of punched blades each having a plated face and a second pressure connecting portion which is an erected piece on a bottom wall between the first pressure connecting portion and the pair of the grip pieces while supported by a pair of side wall portions , so that the coated wire pressed into a slit formed from a top end thereof toward the bottom wall is prevented from moving in the axial direction so as to secure a conductive connection.

A method of producing a resin-molded assembly and a method of producing a double-retaining connector in which the need for an assembling operation of resin-molded products connected together by pins is obviated, and also a molding process is shortened so as to reduce the production cost. Resin materials, used respectively for the molded products, are so selected that a shrinkage coefficient of the first molded product having engagement pins can be higher than that of the second molded product having fitting holes and the first and second molded products are molded integrally with each other in an assembled condition by a multicolor molding method.

In a connector equipped with a rear holder, the rear holder in an open state is coupled with a housing of the connector by a fixing belt. A rear holder mounting device is provided with a cutter and slide bar. The cutter is moved to cut the fixing belt. The slide bar is moved to close the rear holder so that the rear holder is engaged in the housing. Thus, working before mounting the rear holder in the connector can be smoothly carried out. The rear holder, without being damaged or deformed, can be easily mounted in the connector.

A low insertion force connector with a downsized and simple structure and high reliability is provided, wherein coupled connectors are capable of sufficiently moving in the uncoupling direction. The low insertion force connector includes: a first connector having a first cam-projection, a frame with a cam-opening to slidably accommodate the first connector in the coupling direction, a second connector with a coupling portion and a cam-engaging slit to be couples with the first connector in the frame, and a slider attached to the second connector, provided with a second cam-projection which engages both of the cam-opening and the cam-engaging slit, and provided with a cam groove consisting of a connector coupling cam groove and a shift-allowing cam groove continuing to the connector coupling cam groove. Thus, a low insertion force connector with a downsized and simple structure and high reliability can be realized.

Press contact terminals are held in terminal housing chambers of a housing body. A longitudinally intermediate part of a flat circuit is positioned above a top surface opening of the terminal housing chambers. Each conductor of the flat circuit is press-connected to each press contact terminal with a press contact jig. A cover is closed, thereby to fold the flat circuit in two in the vicinity of the press-connected part so that one part is overlaid on the press-connected part. The folded part is sandwiched between the cover and the housing body to be held in a connector housing.

In a pressure-contact terminal, a pair of pressure-contact blades are bent in such a manner that they are inclined with respect to their respective side walls of the terminal. A covered electric wire is inserted into between the side walls to thereby allow the pressure-contact blades to bite the covered electric wire. After then, the covered electric wire is pulled backwardly to thereby change the inclination angles of the pressure-contact blades greatly and, while the covered electric wire remains pulled backwardly, a clamping portion formed in the terminal is clamped to thereby fix the covered electric wire. By increasing the inclination angles of the pressure-contact blades, the pressure-contact blades can be contacted with a core included in the covered electric wire with a high contact load.
