A seat frame includes: a plate member; and a bar member joined to the plate member, the bar member including a planar portion on at least part of a side surface of the bar member, wherein the plate member and the bar member are joined to each other by a welded portion including a base portion configured to: extend in a longitudinal direction of the bar member; and have a central line positioned closer to a position at which a load from a user is applied upon use of the seat frame than a central portion of the bar member, the central portion being at a center of a length of the bar member, the length being orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the bar member, the position being in an area of contact between the plate member and the planar portion.

A coiling machine includes feed rollers for moving a wire, a wire guide, a first forming roller, a second forming roller, a pitch tool, a cutting mechanism, and a support mechanism for supporting the wire. The cutting mechanism includes a cutting rotor. The wire coming out of the wire guide is formed into a helical shape by the first forming roller, the second forming roller and the pitch tool. After one coil spring of a predetermined length is formed, the wire is cut by moving the cutting rotor in the radial direction of the wire. The cutting rotor cuts the wire supported by the support mechanism in the radial direction of the wire between the second forming roller and the pitch tool.

A stabilizer includes a main body cylinder portion which is elastically deformable; and a pair of connection portions respectively connected to a pair of left and right suspension devices. Each of the pair of connection portions is provided with a fixed shaft portion which is solid and fixed to the main body cylinder portion. The fixed shaft portion includes a fitting portion fitted into the main body cylinder portion and a large diameter portion connecting the fitting portion and a connection portion of the pair of connection portions and formed to have a diameter larger than that of the fitting portion.

The thin plate is made of a material having a specific gravity smaller than that of the material forming the first and the second members. The second member and an end portion of the protruding portion are connected to each other, by a part of the second member and a part of the end portion being melt-solidified, the end portion being at a side opposite to a side connected to the proximal portion.

A joined body includes: a thin plate including through holes; first members each including: a base portion and a protruding portion inserted into one of the through holes; and a second member placed oppositely to the base portion via the thin plate and made of a material that is of a same kind as a material of the first members. The second member and an end portion of the protruding portion are connected together by melt-solidification.
