A magnetic element including: a first magnetic core including a coil which is wound by a predetermined number of turns; a second magnetic core which includes the coil in the inside thereof and which is combined along the outer circumference of the first magnetic core; and a metal terminal which connects the coil and a mounting substrate, wherein the metal terminal includes a fixing portion for fixing the second magnetic core in a state of combining the first magnetic core and the second magnetic core.

Provided is an inductor capable of adjusting an inductance in dozens of nH increments without requiring a large number of components. The inductor includes: a conductor; a first core body and a second core body each having an opposed surface, the opposed surface of the first core body and the opposed surface of the second core body facing each other so as to enclose the conductor; and a holding part provided with a slide surface for varying an opposed area of the opposed surfaces of the first core body and the second core body, for holding at least one of the first core body and the second core body at a desired position.

A problem to be solved is to stabilize temperature characteristics in various characteristics of a magnetic element. A magnetic element has a coil formed by winding a conductor, EP cores constituted of a magnetic material and passing magnetic flux generated in the coil, a solid part provided between EP cores opposing each other among the EP cores, and having a ceramics material or a resin material, in which the solid part is in contact with opposing faces of the respective opposing EP cores, and the solid part is provided with a thickness dimension ranging from 3 &#x3bc;m to 30 &#x3bc;m.

Magnetic element and method of manufacturing magnetic element

A magnetic element capable of obtaining a desired characteristic and at the same time having high productivity that enables cost reduction is provided. The magnetic element includes a first coil () to which a signal is inputted, a second coil () to which the signal inputted to the first coil () is transmitted, and includes a first core () having a first columnar leg portion () on which the first coil () is wound and a first peripheral wall portion () arranged on the periphery of the first columnar leg portion (), and a second core () having a second columnar leg portion () on which the second coil () is wound and a second peripheral wall portion () arranged on the periphery of the second columnar leg portion (). The relative permeability of the first core () is set higher than the relative permeability of the second core (), the first columnar leg portion () and the second columnar leg portion () abut on each other, and the first peripheral wall portion () and the second peripheral wall portion () abut on each other.
