An engine controller structure for a vehicle, can include a duct cover having a box-like portion on a vehicle body front side thereof. The box-like portion can include an opening formed therein, and can be configured to have an intake duct of an engine connected thereto. The duct cover can be configured to be positioned sidewardly of an engine. An engine control unit can be disposed on the inside of the duct cover. The opening, configured to be connected to the intake duct, can be configured such that the intake duct is connected to an air cleaner box attached to a vehicle body rear side of the engine. The intake duct can shaped so as to be extended to a vehicle body front side from the air cleaner box.

ECU arrangement structure for a vehicle

A frame structure is provided in which a sub-frame is fixed to a rear portion of a vehicle body frame, and serves as a suspension-supporting portion of the vehicle body frame. In the sub-frame, a rear member extends between a sub-frame upper pipe and a sub-frame lower pipe. The rear member includes a rear upper arm supporting portion and a rear lower arm supporting portion, for supporting proximal ends of an upper arm and a lower arm of a rear suspension. The frame structure hereof improves accuracy and rigidity of the suspension-supporting portion of the vehicle body frame, and provides a simplified structure as compared to conventional frame structures.

Vehicle frame structure

A suspension structure is configured to ensure a large stroke of a shock absorber in a suspension device without moving an upper end supporting position of a damper upward relative to a conventional mounting position. The suspension structure includes a rear suspension for suspending left and right rear wheels. The rear suspension includes left and right lower arms for supporting the left and right rear wheels by way of knuckles, and left and right rear shock absorbers interposed between the respective lower arms and a sub-frame of a vehicle body frame. A lower end connecting portion of the rear shock absorber is cantilevered to a front side of the lower arm.

A vehicle body frame structure for an all-terrain vehicle having at least a front wheel, and including a first frame assembly and a second frame assembly. The first frame assembly includes an arm support portion and a steering shaft support portion located at a front portion of the vehicle body frame structure, for steering the front wheel. The second frame assembly is bisected from the first frame assembly; and the vehicle body frame structure also includes a suspension arm vertically swingably supported by the arm support portion.

An air cleaner box structured to facilitate the attaching and detaching operation of an air cleaner element While enhancing the support rigidity thereof. The air cleaner box includes a casing having a case body and the openable and closable case cover. The element holder has an extended U-shape in cross section, and has end sections that are supported by the case body and the case cover respectively. A lean detector for a vehicle is capable of reducing the cost of the parts of a lean sensor and enhancing the waterproof property thereof. The lean detector also detects when the leaning of the vehicle body has reached a prescribed angle in the right, left, front or rear direction. The lean sensor is installed at a position above a bottom end of a baseplate of the seat of a saddle-ride type four-wheeled vehicle.

A saddle-ride type vehicle provided with an air cleaner at the rear side of an engine and a fuel tank at the upper side of the engine, and a heat shield panel disposed between the fuel tank and the engine. A fuel feed pipe, one end of which is connected to a fuel pump located at the front side of the engine, extends toward the upper part of the heat shield panel and is routed on the upper side of the heat shield panel and connected to an injector which forms a fuel intake. This improves the degree of freedom in the design around an engine and facilitates the layout of a fuel feed pipe that connects a fuel pump to a fuel intake at the front and rear of the engine so that the fuel feed pipe is hardly affected by the heat of the engine.

A throttle body is connected to a rear portion of a cylinder head of an air-cooled engine, and a fuel pump is disposed in front of the engine. The fuel pump is such as to be disposed below a fuel tanksuch a manner as to be separated therefrom and to be integrated with an auxiliary tank. Fuel is sent under pressure from the fuel pump to the throttle body via a fuel feed tube, and surplus fuel is returned to the integrated auxiliary tank, consequently, no piping for return fuel being required. Vapor generated in the fuelreturns to a space above a fuel level resulting when the fuel tankis filled up via an exclusive return tube and is, therefore, prevented from mixing into fuel.

Vehicle fuel supply construction

A fuel tank includes fuel pipes which are configured to resist bubble disruption of the fuel pump, minimizing the risk of fuel running out when the tank level becomes low. The fuel tank includes a fuel tank body with a fuel feed conduit operatively attached thereto, for feeding fuel to a fuel injection system. The fuel feed conduit has a pickup inlet which opens into the fuel tank body, allowing fuel to be drawn outwardly by a fuel pump of the fuel injection system. The fuel tank also includes a fuel return conduit with a return port inside the fuel tank body, for returning unused fuel therethrough to the fuel tank body. The return port of the fuel return conduit is directed toward the pickup inlet of the fuel feed conduit. The fuel feed and return conduits may be fixed to the fuel tank body using a plate-shaped member.

To facilitate mounting of an oil cooler and a cooling fan. An oil cooler which is a cooler and a cooling fan are accommodated in the same case to form a cooling unit. This case is divided into a lid on the front half portion side and a fan cover on the rear half portion side, and the oil cooler is accommodated in the lid while the cooling fan is accommodated in the fan cover. The two members are put together from the front and the rear and are integrated with each other by means of fastening screws. Suspending projections project on the left and right of an upper face of the lid, and are attached to upper pipes, which are part of a vehicle body frame, through suspending brackets. Further, the oil cooler is accommodated in the lid in a state wherein damper rubber members are applied to four corners thereof. Consequently, the damper rubber members function as a rubber mounting structure in a non-coupled state wherein they are merely interposed between a joint recess and the oil cooler.

Cooling system for vehicle

A body frame structure for a four-wheeled buggy which is constructed by separately preparing the front sub-assembly and the rear sub-assembly and fastening the rear sub-assembly to the front sub-assembly. The front sub-assembly is composed of a pair of sub-assembly parts each of which is formed as an approximate loop shape including a main frame, a front down frame, a lower frame, and a center frame. Rear ends of the main frames are welded to upper ends of the center frames via a cross pipe. Brackets are provided on upper portions of the center frames in such a manner as to extend upwardly therefrom. Upper fastening portions provided at front ends of seat rails constituting part of the rear sub-assembly are fastened to mounting holes formed in the brackets. Stays are provided on lower portions of the center frames, and lower fastening portions provided at front ends of right and left back stays are fastened to the stays. With this configuration, since the stays and the brackets are provided on the same members, that is, the center frames, even if the front sub-assembly is previously constructed by welding, it is possible to prevent deviation in dimensional accuracy of portions of the front sub-assembly to which the rear sub-assembly is to be fastened.
