A folding portable cellular phone includes a first box member and a second box member. The first box member includes: an upper case having a window for a display unit; an upper substrate on which electric parts are mounted; an upper hinge frame; and an upper cover on which these components are mounted. The second box member includes: a lower cover in which key holes are formed to provide a key console unit; a lower substrate including a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) on which electric parts are mounted; a lower hinge frame; and a lower case on which these components are mounted.

Folding portable cellular phone

A battery storage apparatus for a portable electronic device is provided which includes a battery storage chamber formed in a casing of the portable electronic device and a storage chamber cover. A guide rail is formed on the casing. A guide groove is formed in the storage chamber cover and engages the guide rail to allow the storage chamber cover to slide on the guide rail when the storage chamber cover is installed on or removed from the casing. A recess is formed in the guide groove. A protrusion is formed on the guide rail and fitted into the recess to hold the storage chamber cover from moving along the guide rail when the storage chamber cover is installed on the casing completely, thereby avoiding dislodgment of the storage chamber cover from the casing even if the portable electronic device undergoes undesirable physical impact.

Battery storage structure for portable electronic device

A portable type mobile radio telephone wherein a battery holding device and a handset cradle is formed on one wider surface of the flat-shaped transceiver unit to be in parallel to each other. The transceiver unit has a guide hole and a first connector at a narrower surface thereof, and a base plate is attached to the battery holding device and the cradle so as to be interposed between the battery holding device and the transceiver unit, and the base plate has a curved portion at one end portion thereof such that the curved portion faces one narrower surface of the transceiver unit. The curved portion is provided with a guide pin and a second connector so that the first and second connectors are guided by connection of the guide pin and the guide hole and coupled with each other when the base plate is moved in a parallel direction with respect to the wider surface of the transceiver unit. The transceiver unit has an engaging projection on the wider surface thereof and the base plate has an engaging hole which is positioned to face the engaging projection when the first and second connectors are coupled with each other. The transceiver unit and the base plate are connected to each other by engagement of the engaging hole and the engaging projection.

Portable type mobile radio telephone

A keyboard capable of efficiently illuminating push buttons with a small number of light sources, wherein light sources are randomly distributed below a grating-like retainer provided for retaining push buttons of the keyboard and light rays from the light sources are reflected by means of pyramidal reflectors disposed above the light sources so as to illuminate a plurality of push buttons sideways and thereby efficiently illuminate a push button with light rays from light sources positioned along a plurality of directions.

A locking apparatus for a telephone which has a handset and a base unit, the locking apparatus having engaging recessed parts provided respectively in the transmitter part and receiver part of the handset, and engaging members provided on the base unit projecting radially outwardly at positions corresponding to the recessed parts, the handset being locked by pressing the handset onto said base unit from above, and releasing the handset from the base unit by pushing the handset up from below by a push-up apparatus provided on the base unit.
