A connector on an electronic device includes a pair of locking plates, a guide groove, and a space. Each locking plate has, on its edge, a first concave portion, a first convex portion, a second concave portion, and a second convex portion. An intermediate surface for determining a position of an accessory device below the guide groove is provided below the second concave portions and the second convex portions. A contact mounting surface provided with plural contacts is provided below the first convex portions. Guide surfaces for determining a position of the accessory device in the width direction of the guide groove are provided below the first concave portions and the first convex portions.

Electronic device and accessory device

A cradle device on which a camera device is mounted can be mounted on a printer device. There is provided a printing system that includes a camera device having an imaging unit and a memory for storing image data photographed by the imaging unit, a cradle device having a camera mounting section mounted in the state that the camera device is electrically connected and a terminal unit or an operating unit that is provided on the back surface and is electrically connected to other electronic devices, and a printer device that has a cradle mounting section mounted in the state that the cradle device is electrically connected and prints image data inputted from the cradle device, wherein the cradle mounting section has a covering portion that covers the terminal unit or the operating unit provided on the back surface of the cradle device.

Disclosed is a flash device which includes a mounting portion removably mounting a flash device on a photographic apparatus, a first base having the mounting portion, a second base mounted on the first base such that the second base can turn around a shaft located approximately parallel with an optical axis of the photographic apparatus, and a flashlight-irradiating unit mounted on the second base such that the flashlight-irradiating unit can turn around a shaft at least in a vertical direction which is orthogonal to the optical axis of the photographic apparatus and is approximately horizontal when the photographic apparatus is located with a horizontal position. In the flash device, the first base has an auxiliary light irradiation unit to irradiate a photographic subject with auxiliary light.

A light transmitting member is operatively fitted in a remote control light receiving unit for projection from and sinking in a VTR body. A power supply circuit for a light sensor is established when the remote control light receiving unit projects from the VTR body and an optical signal from a remote control device is detected by the light sensor, and the power supply circuit for the light sensor is interrupted when the remote control light receiving unit sinks in the VTR body. Further, the light transmitting member is adapted to cooperate with a locking/unlocking mechanism provided at its lower end portion to set up a reciprocating motion such that the remote control light receiving unit projects from and sinks in the VTR body. With the described arrangement, wasteful power consumption is cut and it is achieved for the remote control light receiving unit not to take in external noise by a simple operation of pushing the rod member in the VTR body when the remote control device is not used and, thus, effect of external noise is minimized.

A unified compact video camera and video cassette recording and/or reproducing apparatus (VCR) has a video camera unit and a VCR unit which includes a cassette holder arranged in a common hollow body at opposite sides of its median plane, and a grip strap extends along the body at the outside of the cassette holder so that the opposite side of the body is available for the positioning thereat of various control switches for operating the video camera and VCR units.
