A valve device increases or decreases a flow rate of EGR gas. The valve device includes a housing, a bypass valve body, an EGR valve body. The housing includes: a first upstream passage into which the EGR gas cooled by an EGR cooler flows; a second upstream passage into which the EGR gas that bypasses the EGR cooler flows; a junction connected to each of a gas-flow downstream of the first upstream passage and a gas-flow downstream of the second upstream passage; and a downstream passage connected to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage via the junction. The bypass valve body is provided in the second upstream passage. The EGR valve body is provided in the downstream passage.

Valve device

A rotating component includes a metal plate fixed to an end portion of the metal shaft, and a resin valve gear integrally formed with the plate by insert molding. The plate is formed with a circular fitting hole that fits with the end portion of the shaft, and a positioning recess that is recessed from one side to the other side of the plate.

Rotating component and method for manufacturing the same

A valve device includes a housing, a valve member, a valve seat member, a fixing member for fixing the valve seat member to the housing, and a housing-side seal portion. The housing has a valve chamber, and a housing-space inner wall forming a housing space communicating with the valve chamber. The housing-side seal portion blocks a flow of fluid between the valve seat member and the housing-space inner wall. The valve seat member has a tubular portion and a flange portion connected to the tubular portion. The flange portion is interposed between a facing surface of the housing-space inner wall and the fixing member in an axial direction. The fixing member is fixed to the housing-space inner wall in an airtight state. The housing-side seal portion is made of a rubber material and is interposed between the flange portion and the fixing member.

A valve device increases or decreases a flow rate of EGR gas. The valve device includes a housing, a bypass valve body, and an EGR valve body. The housing includes a first upstream passage into which the EGR gas cooled by an EGR cooler flows, a second upstream passage into which the EGR gas that bypasses the EGR cooler flows, and a downstream passage connected to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage, and provided downstream with respect to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage. The bypass valve body opens and closes the second upstream passage. The EGR valve body is provided in the downstream passage and rotates around an EGR valve axis to open and close the downstream passage.

A valve device increases or decreases a flow rate of EGR gas. The valve device includes a housing, a bypass valve body, an EGR valve body. The housing includes a first upstream passage into which the EGR gas cooled by an EGR cooler flows, a second upstream passage into which the EGR gas that bypasses the EGR cooler flows, a junction connected to each of a gas-flow downstream side of the first upstream passage and a gas-flow downstream side of the second upstream passage, and a downstream passage connected to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage via the junction. The bypass valve body opens and closes the second upstream passage. The EGR valve body is provided in the downstream passage, rotates around an EGR valve axis.

A valve device includes a shaft, a valve body, and a housing including a valve opening. An outwardly facing surface of the valve body is out of contact with the housing and a valve-facing surface is in contact with the housing in a fully closed state in which the valve body closes the valve opening. A valve seal surface includes a first valve seal surface protruding in a valve closing direction and a second valve seal surface recessed in a valve opening direction. A first seal distance in a radial direction from an outer diameter end of the first valve seal surface to a rotation axis is shorter than a second seal distance in the radial direction from an outer diameter end of the second valve seal surface to the rotation axis. The first valve seal surface and the second valve seal surface each have at least a curved surface.

Shaft is rotationally driven, and a valve body rotates together with the shafts and has a cylindrical surface on an outer peripheral surface. A housing has a valve chamber in which the valve body is rotatably accommodated, and the valve chamber has an opening opened or closed by the valve body. The outer peripheral surface is provided to be in a non-contact with the housing. The valve body has a valve seal surface for closing the opening by abutting on a predetermined part set in the housing when the opening is fully closed, and the valve seal surface is directed in the circumferential direction. The valve body has a core metal made of a metal, and the shafts are provided on both ends of the core metal, and a valve seal surface is made of a resin.

Valve device and method for manufacturing the same

A valve is configured to control an opening in a passage. A valve angle sensor is configured to send an electric signal according to a rotation angle of the valve. In a storing process, an actual measurement value of a valve angle at a mechanical full open position is stored as an actual full open valve angle. In a first setting process, a first output value at a mechanical full close position is set. In a second setting process, a second output value at the stored actual full open valve angle is set. The output characteristic is set as an angle to output value relation according to the first output value and the second output value.

Method for setting sensor output

A link apparatus includes a cam plate, a lever and an accommodation member. The cam plate has a cam groove. The lever has a roller engaged with the cam groove and a pin which is inserted through a center of the roller so that the roller is rotatably supported on the pin. The accommodation member accommodates the cam plate and the lever. The accommodation member and the pin have a distance 'A' therebetween. The roller has a thickness 'B' along an axial direction of the pin. The value of the distance &#x201c;A&#x201d; is smaller than the value of the thickness &#x201c;B&#x201d;.

Link apparatus

A gear subassembly is for an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system including an EGR valve and a rotatable shaft provided for the EGR valve. The gear subassembly includes a gear and a cam. The gear is a part of reduction gears and is fastened to the rotatable shaft to rotate therearound. The cam is fastened to the gear and is a part of a link mechanism. The gear includes a metal shaft-fastening part used for fastening the gear to the rotatable shaft, and a metal cam-fastening part used for fastening the gear to the cam. The gear is formed by resin-molding with the shaft-fastening part and the cam-fastening part serving as insert parts.

Gear subassembly and exhaust gas recirculation system

When a failure occurs in synchronizing mechanism, an intake air throttle valve is rotated in a direction that is opposite from a normal operational time valve closing direction, so that an arm of a driven plate contacts a throttle valve side stopper to stop rotation of the intake air throttle valve. Thereafter, when a low pressure EGR valve is rotated from a full close position to a full open position, an EGR valve side stopper contacts the arm of the driven plate to stop the low pressure EGR valve. A rotational angle of the EGR valve is sensed with a sensor and is outputted to an ECU. The ECU determines that a failure mode is set when a valve angle sensed with the sensor coincides with a rotation stop position of the EGR valve.

Low pressure exhaust gas recirculation apparatus

A converting mechanism is provided between an EGR control valve driven by an actuator and an intake-air valve for generating negative pressure, so that the intake-air valve is also driven by the actuator. The converting mechanism has a cam plate rotated together with the EGR control valve and an arm rotated together with the intake-air valve. A cam groove formed in the cam plate is engaged with a driving pin of the arm. The intake-air valve is held at its maximum valve opening position, when the EGR control valve is rotated in a first angular range, while the intake-air valve is rotated from the valve opening position to a maximum valve closing position when the EGR control valve is rotated in a second angular range.

Low pressure EGR apparatus

An actuator includes an electric motor and a drive force transmitting mechanism. The drive force transmitting mechanism includes a rotary gear and a rotary cam. The rotary gear transmits a drive force of the electric motor to an EGR valve to drive the same. The rotary cam transmits the drive force of the electric motor to a mode change valve to drive the same. The rotary cam is releasably linkable to the rotary gear to receive the drive force of the electric motor through the rotary gear.
