The reliability of backwashing valves constituted of first backwashing valves and second backwashing valves is ensured. A first backwashing valve (backwashing-gas rear valve) () that controls gas for backwashing and a second backwashing valve (backwashing-gas front valve) () that operates at slower speed than the first backwashing valve () are disposed, in a series including two or more thereof, at backwashing-gas introducing pipes individually provided for each of the filter blocks.

Method for backwashing filter

An object is to prevent blockage of a slag hole with char and slag, enabling stable operation of a gasification furnace. In a configuration in which a heat exchanger () is provided above a coal gasification portion (), the diameters (D, D) of the slag hole () and the throat portion () are set to three times or more the pitch (ST) of rows of heat exchange tubes (). By doing so, blockage of the slag hole () or the throat portion () with char and a sintered material () falling from the heat exchanger () is prevented, enabling stable operation of a coal gasification furnace ().

Gasification furnace, gasification power plant, and method of preventing blockage of slag hole in gasification furnance

A method for controlling a gas turbine power plant, a gas turbine power plant, a method for controlling a carbon-containing fuel gasifier, and a carbon-containing fuel gasifier that can keep constant the amount of heat generated from a synthetic gas produced by the carbon-containing fuel gasifier. The gas turbine power plant includes a coal gasifier including a coal gasifier unit that gasifies a fuel containing carbon to produce a synthetic gas and a water-cooled wall duct disposed on the coal gasifier unit and to which a coolant, i.e., water, is directed; a gas turbine combustor that combusts the synthetic gas to produce combustion gas; a gas turbine rotated by the combustion gas produced by the gas turbine combustor; and a generator that generates electrical power. The amount of fuel fed to the coal gasifier is controlled depending on the amount of heat absorbed by the coolant directed to the water-cooled wall duct.

Method for controlling gas turbine power plant, gas turbine power plant, method for controlling carbon-containing fuel gasifier, and carbon-containing fuel gasifier

A gasifier () including a fluid communication channel () that communicates a fluid, which undergoes heat exchange in the furnace, and that generates syngas by gasifying fuel; gas purifying equipment that removes impurities contained in the syngas generated by the gasifier (); a gas turbine that is driven by the gas purified by the gas purifying equipment; and a heat exchanger that heats a fluid with exhaust expelled from the gas turbine. The fluid heated by the heat exchanger is supplied to the fluid communication channel () by being pressurized by pressurizing gas when performing warm-up of the gasifier ().

Gasification power generation plant

Synthesis gas (syngas) gasified in a gasification furnace to which coal is introduced burns in a combustor. An exhaust-heat recovery boiler generates steam by using exhaust gas let out from a gas turbine equipped with the combustor. The steam generated in the exhaust-heat recovery boiler is introduced to a steam turbine. A generator is driven by the steam turbine and the gas turbine to generate electrical power. Part of the exhaust gas let out from the gas turbine is introduced to a carbon-dioxide recovery unit, where carbon dioxide is recovered therefrom. Coal is carried to the gasification furnace by the carbon dioxide.

Integrated coal gasification combined cycle plant

In a porous filter, dust that has been collected from a gas through a filter group installed in a vessel body onto filter surfaces is removed from the filter surfaces by backwashing in which the supply and stoppage of a high-pressure gas ejected toward porous filter elements are repeated by means of a valve operation. Backwash tanks having upstream backwash valves and downstream backwash valves are installed in backwash pipes through which the high-pressure gas is guided from high-pressure-gas supply equipment to backwash nozzles for ejecting the backwash high-pressure gas toward the filter group to form a backwash high-pressure-medium supply line. The outlet pressure of the high-pressure-gas supply equipment is set to '1/critical pressure ratio' or more times a filter inlet gas pressure so that the flow speed of the high-pressure gas ejected from the backwash nozzle is the speed of sound or higher.

Dust-removing method

A dust collector that collects dust () in gas () and purifies the gas () includes a tube plate () being provided in a dust collector frame () that separates an interior into a gas introduction chamber () and a gas discharge chamber (), a plurality of dust collection pipes () being hung from the tube plate () that feeds the gas () from outside to inside and removes the dust () on a surface thereof, a gas introduction pipe () being provided in the gas introduction chamber () that includes a gas opening end portion () positioned near the tube plate (), and supplies the gas () to the dust collection pipes () in a downflow direction, a diffuser () being provided at the opening end portion () of the gas introduction pipe (), and a gas discharging unit () being provided in the gas discharge chamber () that discharges purified gas ().

Dust collector

In a coal gasification furnace adapted to feed pulverized coal thereinto by the use of inert carrier gas and gasify the same, any startup burner can be unnecessitated thereby eliminating any startup combustion chamber. Further, even in the use of a startup burner, it is smaller and lighter in weight than conventional startup burners, allowing the startup combustion chamber to be compact and limiting the height of the entirety of the gasification furnace. As a characteristic feature, a pulverized coal fuel supply passageway () to a combustor burner () is provided at its midstream portion with a startup gas supply passageway () for supply of a startup combustible gas (NG). After reaching of the temperature of the furnace interior to a first temperature (T) allowing ignition of pulverized coal with reference to a detected value from furnace interior temperature detecting means (), transition to combustion by the pulverized coal and carrier gas is effected by increasing the input rate of pulverized coal and carrier gas while decreasing the supply rate of combustible gas (NG) from the startup gas supply passageway ().

Starting method of coal gasifier and starting device therefor

An integrated gasification combined cycle that can adjust the balance of pressure/temperature in an overall plant and can stabilize the output of a gas turbine at an early stage during load variation, and an operation control method of the integrated gasification combined cycle are provided. When a calorific abnormality of fuel gas is detected during load variation of a gas turbine (), a load change command value of the gas turbine () is set to zero or is decreased, and based on this load change command value, a power generation output command of the gas turbine () is generated.

Integrated gasification combined cycle and operation control method thereof

A filter regeneration apparatus of a coal gasification system having a filter for capturing char (unburned matter) present in exhaust gas at an exhaust gas passage communicating with exhaust gas source including a coal gasification furnace, fills the filter container with inactive gas having oxygen concentration of less than 5 vol. % and heat the filter to a target temperature of 400 to 450&#xb0; C. and feed ashing gas having oxygen concentration of 5 to 15 vol. %, thereby ashing char in the filter. This method and apparatus achieve ashing of char in a safe manner and shortens the time of regenerating the filter by controlling the oxygen concentration in the ashing gas and the filter temperature constantly to reach preset target values.

Method for regenerating filter and apparatus thereof

A compact pressurized high-temperature gas cooler having superior heat exchange performance and excellent economical efficiency is provided. A return-flow structure is formed in which a flue through which high-temperature gas flows is formed in a pressure container, a heat exchanger is disposed in the flue, and a partition dividing the internal cross-sectional area of the flue is provided so that the high-temperature gas supplied from a bottom or a top portion of the pressure container flows back in a return direction. The cross-sectional-area division ratio dividing the internal cross-section of the flue is set so that the flow rate of the high-temperature gas flowing in one direction matches that flowing in the direction opposite thereto.
