A rotating electric machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core and a stator winding that includes phase coils wound around slots of the stator core. Each phase coil is configured such that: a first end is connected to an external terminal; a second end is connected to a neutral point; and 2n (n being a natural number) circling coils are arranged to circle the stator core and connected in series. A neutral-point-side coil is housed in a first slot where a terminal-side coil is housed. The terminal-side coil is a circling coil that is arranged on the external-terminal side of a first phase coil among the phase coils. The neutral-point-side coil is a circling coil that is arranged on the neutral-point side of a second phase coil among the phase coils. The second phase coil is different in phase from the first phase coil.

Rotating electric machine

A stator includes a stator core, a stator attachment and a plurality of segment coils. The stator core has a yoke portion, stator teeth and stator slots. The stator attachment is placed on an axial end surface of the stator core. The stator attachment includes attachment teeth, attachment slots and varnish guide faces. Each of the attachment slots communicates with an axial open end of each of the stator slots. The varnish guide faces approach an axially central side toward an attachment slot side in the radial direction. The segment coils are fixed to the stator core with varnish. Each segment coils includes plurality of conductor segments. The conductor segment is bent by making contact with the attachment teeth.

Stator for rotary electric machine

In a motor, a stationary member is provided with a number M (M is a positive integer) of first poles within 360 electrical degrees at spaces therebetween. A plurality of windings are at least partly wound in the spaces, respectively. A movable member is movably arranged relative to the stationary member and provided with a number K (K is a positive integer) of second poles. The number K of second poles is different from the number M of first poles. A unidirectional current supply unit supplies a unidirectional current to at least one of the windings so as to create an attractive force between at least one of the first poles and a corresponding at least one of the second poles to thereby move the movable member relative to the stationary member.
