An information presentation system includes an imaging unit, a peripheral information acquisition unit which acquires peripheral information, a storage unit which stores registered information, an analytic basic information construction unit which constructs analytic basic information from the registered information stored in the storage unit, on the basis of the peripheral information acquired in the peripheral information acquisition unit, a pertinent information acquisition unit which acquires information pertinent to the image from the image obtained from the imaging unit and the analytic basic information obtained from the analytic basic information construction unit, and a presentation unit which presents the pertinent information acquired in the pertinent information acquisition unit. The analytic basic information construction unit changes the analytic basic information on the basis of at least one of a time, date, season, weather, temperature, humidity, place, surrounding brightness, average color/color distribution of the acquired image, surrounding sound and model.

A plurality of known markers is disposed in a specific district. A marker detection section detects the known markers existing in the image photographed by an image pickup device. A position/orientation relation calculation section identifies the detected known marker to calculate position and orientation relations between the identified known marker and the image pickup device. An associated information obtaining section obtains predetermined information associated with the identified known marker. An information processing section processes the obtained predetermined information based on the calculated position and orientation relations. A display device superimposes and displays the processed information on the photographed image. At least the image pickup device and display device are disposed in a portable information terminal, and the other sections are disposed in a server which can perform radio communication with the portable information terminal.

An information presentation apparatus comprises a three-dimensional model data recording apparatus. A projection apparatus projects a marker whose three-dimensional position/posture relation with a photography object is known onto the photography object. An image input apparatus inputs the photography object on which the marker is projected. A position detection apparatus uses the position of the marker in an image to detect a relative position relation between the photography object and the image input apparatus. A display apparatus uses the position of the photography object to superpose and display three-dimensional model data of the photography object upon the image of the photography object so that the position of the image of the photography object coincides with the position of the three-dimensional model data.

An apparatus performs servo control of a recording light beam by using a reproducing light beam. The reproducing light beam, which does not destroy the recording material of an optical card, is emitted from a reproducing LD to the optical card. The position of the reproducing light beam is controlled by a control unit. A light beam which does not destroy the recording material of the optical card is emitted from a recording LD to the optical card. The position of the light beam from the recording LD is detected by a recording PD and the detected error signal is stored in the control unit. The reproducing light beam is emitted again from the reproducing LD to the optical card together with emitting the recording light beam, which can destroy the recording material of the optical card, from the recording LD. The position of the recording light beam is controlled by the control unit based on the reflected light beam of the reproducing light beam from the optical card and on the stored signal in the control unit.

A read head makes a relative movement with respect to a recording medium to simultaneously read data from at least two of a plurality of recording areas of the recording medium in which the data is recorded. A memory section stores data from at least one of the two recording areas read by the read head. An optical information recording apparatus, in which an information recording light bream emitted from a laser diode is divided into a plurality of light beams and the light intensities of the divided light beams are modulated by driving liquid-crystal cells formed in a control panel so as to record optical information on a plurality of data tracks and in a plurality of data pits on each of the plurality of data tracks simultaneously. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to make the information recording speed increase without making the apparatus large in size and expensive in cost.

An information recording/reproduction apparatus comprises an insertion opening into which an optical recording medium is inserted, a detector for detecting that the optical recording medium is inserted into the insertion opening, a table on which the optical recording medium is placed, an optical head for recording information on the optical recording medium placed on the table, and recording power controller for correcting the recording power of a laser beam emitted from the optical head after the detector generates a detection signal and before the optical recording medium is carried to a position in which the laser beam is emitted from the optical head.
