Provided are a communication system that is capable of acquiring information having a relatively large data amount by a transmission unit while securing a communication speed of a transmission signal of transmission unit, and a transmission unit employed in communication system. Transmission unit transmits superimposition requesting data from a superimposition requesting unit to a second monitoring terminal in a transmission segment of transmission signal. Second monitoring terminal, upon receiving superimposition requesting data and with responding thereto, transmits, to transmission unit, monitoring data corresponding to a monitoring input from a sensor device with a superimposition signal superimposed on transmission signal as superimposition response data in a reply segment of transmission signal. Transmission unit, upon receiving superimposition response data composed of monitoring data with a superimposition communication unit, transmits control data to either a second control terminal or a first control terminal associated with this monitoring data in control table.

Communication system and transmission unit employed in same

A dimming device includes a control unit, a first setting section and a second setting section. The control unit is configured to receive a control signal transmitted by a multiplexing transmission method and to control a dimming level of an illumination load in response to the control signal. The illumination load includes light-emitting diodes. The first setting section is configured to set a lower limit of the dimming level of the illumination load, the lower limit being adjustable in a first range. The second setting section is configured to set an upper limit of the dimming level of the illumination load, the upper limit being adjustable in a second range. A minimum value in the second range is greater than a maximum value in the first range.

A panel switch device for use in a load control system, which includes the panel switch device serving to monitor a pressing operation of icons of loads having individual addresses allocated thereto and output to a signal line a transmission signal including operation information and address information obtained by the pressing operation of the icons of the loads, the control device serving to control each of the loads corresponding to the address information if the address information coincides with the address of each of the loads. The panel switch device includes a frame, a touch panel display unit for displaying setting items of the loads to be controlled and an output unit provided on a rear surface side of the display unit for outputting a setting content inputted through the display unit. The control device controls the loads based on the setting content outputted from the output unit.

Panel switch device for load control system

In a monitoring and control device for use in a remote monitoring and control system, a device housing has a socket located behind a display panel and an external storage medium including a rewritable memory is removably mounted in the socket. The device housing is attached in an attachment hole formed in a wall in a state that the external storage medium is mounted in the socket. A control unit performs a setting operation for a graphic image displayed on the display panel and for the load control in accordance with setting information stored in the external storage medium. The external storage medium is inserted in the socket through an insertion slot formed in a side portion of the device housing, at least a portion of the insertion slot being received in the attachment hole in a state that the device housing is attached to the wall.

Monitoring and control device

An operation terminal includes a communication unit; an operation terminal control unit; a plurality of on-period light-emitting units provided in a one-to-one correspondence to the control switches and controlled by the operation terminal control unit; a plurality of off-period light-emitting units provided in a one-to-one correspondence to the control switches and controlled by the operation terminal control unit to emit light when the load associated with the corresponding one of the control switches by relational data is in an off-state; and a housing. By using the polymerization regulator, the polymerization rate of the episulfide compound can be suitably regulated to obtain a cured resin with less defect. By using the halide, the increase in the viscosity of the starting composition during the storage or the casting operation can be prevented.

Episulfide compounds useful as starting materials of optical materials are stably stored for a long period of time at a temperature ranging from their solidifying points to 20&#xb0; C., preventing the production or precipitation of polymers and the yellowing.

Method of storing episulfide compound

The alicyclic compound of the present invention has a five- or more membered ring structure having an epithioethylene linkage and/or an epidithioethylene linkage, and has tow or more sulfur atoms in its molecule. Optical materials produced by curing the alicyclic compound or a composition containing the alicyclic compound by polymerization show high refractive index.

Polymerization regulators and compositions for resin

The present invention relates to a composition for optical materials, comprising (a) a compound having in one molecule at least one structure represented by the following Formula 1: wherein Ris a single bond or a Chydrocarbon group, each of R, Rand Ris a Chydrocarbon group or hydrogen, Y is O, 5, Se or Te, m is 1 to 5, and n is 0 to 5; (b) a compound having in one molecule at least one isocyanate group and/or at least one isothiocyanate group; (c) a compound having in one molecule at least one mercapto group; and (d) an inorganic compound having sulfur atom and/or selenium atom, and also relates to an optical material produced by polymerization curing the composition, a production method thereof, and an optical lens comprising the optical material. The present invention provides a high refractive, high Abbe's number optical material having an improved impact resistance.

Composition for optical material

The composition for optical materials of the present invention contains at least one compound represented by the following Formula 1:wherein R, Rand Rare each independently C&#x2013;Chydrocarbyl or hydrogen; X, Xand Xare each independently S, Se or Te; Y, Yand Yare each independently &#x2014;S&#x2014;[(CH)S]H, a is an integer from 0 to 2, b is an integer from 0 to 4, and c is an integer from 0 to 2, and a compound reactive to the compound of Formula 1. A resin produced by curing a composition containing the compound of Formula 1 by polymerization has a high refractive index, and suitable as various optical materials.

The composition for optical materials of the present invention comprises a compound having in one molecule at least one structure represented by the following formula (1):wherein R, R, R, R, X, Y and n are as defined in the disclosure, an amine compound and an isocyanate compound. Resins obtained by curing the composition by polymerization are useful as well-balanced optical materials having a high impact resistance, a high refractive index and a sufficiently high Abbe's number.

An improved programmable timer unit can be incorporated into a remote control management system to actuate loads according a user's defined schedule without relying upon any additional supplementary device for data communication. The timer unit includes an input section for selecting a switch address of any switch employed in the system and a schedule specifying the actuation time and the control code for actuation of the target load or loads. A processor makes up a load management program based upon the schedule and executes the program for control of loads. Thus, the timer unit can alone emulate any one of the switches for controlling loads without relying on additional external device for the data communication.

Programmable timer unit for use in a remote control load management system

A timer processing section instructs a transmission processing section to control load in accordance with a time schedule stored in a program storage section . The transmission processing section is connected to a two-wire signal line and gives a load control instruction to each terminal to which load is connected according to a time-division multiplex transmission system. The time schedule stored in a program storage section is a set of the address related to the load to be controlled and the control contents and the control time of the load. Therefore, when the time set according to the time schedule is reached, the load specified by the address is controlled.
