A vehicle including a first member rotatably supporting a rear wheel, a second member disposed in front of the first member, and a coupling member disposed between the first member and the second member and fixed to the first member and the second member to support the first member and the second member swingably in a left-right direction about an axial line in a front-rear direction. The coupling member is provided so that a position of the post-swing ground contact point is closer to the axial line than a position of the post-swing ground contact point in the left-right direction before the first member swings, the ground contact point being a center in an area on a surface of the rear wheel in contact with a road surface, the post-swing ground contact point being the ground contact point after the first member swings about the axial line.

To suppress intake noise and secure a quiet ride on a straddle type vehicle wherein a box-shaped structure includes an air cleaner box connected to an engine. In addition, exhaust air from the radiator disposed in the vicinity of the box-shaped structure is prevented from hitting a leg portion of a rider. A main frame is provided as a separate body from a head box so as to support a power unit and a front two-wheeled suspension device. The head box is supported on the main frame due to the fact that an air cleaner box is fixed on the main frame through a fixing member. A guide portion is formed on the air cleaner box so as to guide the exhaust wind from a radiator to the lower direction.

Straddle type vehicle

A saddle type vehicle which can cool a battery efficiently by a simple configuration. The saddle type vehicle includes a battery case accommodating a battery therein and is provided in a space positioned above an engine, which configures part of a power unit, below a seat (occupants' seat) and overlapping with the engine and the seat in an upward and downward direction of a vehicle body. A cooling fan configured to discharge air rearwardly is provided at a rear end of the battery case.

A step structure of a saddle-ride type vehicle is configured to permit easy adjustment of a position and also of an angle of a step. A pair of opposed clamp pieces, that are formed as part of a step-support bracket provided to a vehicle body of a saddle-ride vehicle, are provided to sandwich an eccentric collar (rotor) from both sides thereof in a radial direction. The clamp pieces are configured to be tightened against the eccentric collar by a bolt, thereby non-rotatably fixing a position of the eccentric collar. The eccentric collar is configured such that when the clamp pieces are loosened, a shaft part of a step is pivotally movable in relation to a shaft insertion hole, and the step, supported by the shaft insertion part, can be adjustably rotated in relation to the step-support bracket.

A step structure for a saddle-ride vehicle includes a step that is turned in a freely derricking manner between a usage state raised in a vehicle width direction and a storage state falling along a lateral side of a vehicle. In the step structure for the saddle-ride vehicle, the step is turnably arranged with a shaft provided at an end of the step as the center. The step is also stored in such a manner wherein the shaft is positioned at the rear of the step in the storage state.
