A rotation angle detection device includes a correction-object driven gear that is a driven gear meshing with a main driving gear, a first sensor that is configured to generate an electrical signal based on rotation of the correction-object driven gear, and an electronic control unit that computes a driven-side rotation angle based on the electrical signal. The electronic control unit is configured to store a correction angle used to correct the driven-side rotation angle when computing the driven-side rotation angle. The correction angle is a predetermined deviation in a predetermined angle domain obtained as an average value in which deviations of the number equal to the integer and corresponding to a same relative rotation angle is averaged, so as to be deviation in an angle domain of 0 to 360 degrees.

Rotation angle detection device

A sensor device includes a main driving gear, driven gears, an biasing member configured to bias the driven gears toward the main driving gear, a support member configured to support the biasing member, and a sensor configured to generate an electrical signal based on rotation of the driven gears. In a force applied when the biasing member biases the driven gears, assuming that a direction orthogonal to a tangent line at a point of action of the force is set as a first direction, the first direction is different from a second direction.

Sensor device

A sensor device includes a partial assembly, a circuit board, and a sensor housing. The partial assembly is constituted by selectively mounting a part that is at least one of a magnetism collection member and a driven wheel to a holder. The circuit board is provided with a detector configured to detect at least one of magnetic flux induced by the magnetism collection member and a rotational angle of the driven wheel in accordance with the part mounted to the holder. The sensor housing is penetrated by the shaft, and houses the partial assembly and the circuit board.

A sensor includes a permanent magnet mounted on a shaft, a magnetic yoke, a magnetism collecting ring, a circuit board, and a sensor housing through which the shaft is inserted. The sensor housing has a box-shaped accommodating chamber accommodating at least the circuit board via an opening that opens in a direction crossing an axial direction of the shaft. A reinforcing member connecting two wall surfaces of the accommodating chamber that face each other in the axial direction of the shaft is provided in the accommodating chamber.

Sensor capable of ensuring that a sensor housing has sufficient rigidity

A sensor includes a main drive gear mounted on a shaft that is subjected to detection by the sensor such that the main drive gear is rotatable integrally with the shaft; at least one driven gear meshing with the main drive gear; a sensor housing accommodating the main drive gear and the at least one driven gear; a biasing member biasing the at least one driven gear toward the main drive gear; and a conversion mechanism configured to convert an axial force that is parallel to an axial direction of the shaft and acts on the at least one driven gear to a force in such a direction that the at least one driven gear is separated from the main drive gear when a part of the at least one driven gear contacts a part of the main drive gear while the shaft is inserted in the sensor housing.

Sensor for smooth assembly

A sensor device includes a main driving gear, a driven gear, a biasing member, a support member, a rotational angle sensor, and a magnetic shield. The driven gear includes a gear portion and a shaft portion. The shaft portion is provided with a permanent magnet. The biasing member is configured to bias the driven gear toward the main driving gear. The support member supports the driven gear and the biasing member. The magnetic shield rotatably surrounds the shaft portion. The biasing member biases the driven gear toward the main driving gear by biasing the magnetic shield toward the main driving gear. The sliding resistance between the magnetic shield and the driven gear is lower than the sliding resistance between the magnetic shield and the biasing member.

A sensor device that can suppress positional fluctuations of a sensor element with first and second magnetism collection portions due to injection molding of a housing is provided. A housing of a torque sensor has a ring portion cover portion that surrounds and holds a first ring portion of a first magnetism collection ring and a second ring portion of a second magnetism collection ring, and a sensor cover portion that houses a first magnetism collection portion, a second magnetism collection portion, and a sensor unit. The sensor cover portion extends toward the radially outer side from the ring portion cover portion. The sensor cover portion has a sensor housing portion that houses the sensor unit as interposed between the first magnetism collection portion and the second magnetism collection portion, an opening portion that opens in the axial direction, and a lid portion that closes the opening portion.

A sensor device that can reduce an assembly error of a magnetic sensor with respect to holders is provided. Magnetic sensors are disposed between first magnetism collection portions and second magnetism collection portions with a first holder and a second holder assembled to each other. A circuit board recessed portion of the second holder is provided with positioning protrusions that extend toward the first holder. A circuit board, on which the magnetic sensors are mounted, is provided with through holes. The magnetic sensors are integrally assembled to the second holder in advance with the positioning protrusions inserted through the through holes.

Provided is a sensor device that is machinable and mountable easily. A sensor device includes an external gear configured to rotate together with a pinion shaft, driven gears configured to rotate by meshing with the external gear, permanent magnets configured to rotate together with the driven gears, magnetic sensors configured to detect magnetic fields of the permanent magnets, a circuit board assembly having the magnetic sensors mounted on a printed circuit board, a tubular first housing member that houses the external gear, and a second housing member that supports the driven gears and houses the circuit board assembly. The second housing member has a flange portion that abuts against an open end face of a fitting hole of the first housing member, and parts of the driven gears that protrude from the flange portion mesh with the external gear inside the first housing member.

Sensor device for detecting a rotation angle of a shaft

A sensor device where the number of components and mounting steps can be reduced and mountability on a mounting target is improved. A sensor device configured to detect a torque applied to a pinion shaft and pinion shaft's rotation angle. The pinion shaft is formed by coupling an input shaft and output shaft together by a torsion bar. The sensor device includes a torque detecting portion wherein magnetic fields detected by torque detection magnetic sensors change based on the torsion bar's twisting amount, a rotation angle detecting portion wherein magnetic fields detected by rotation angle detection magnetic sensors change based on the pinion shaft's rotation angle, a housing that houses the torque detecting portion and the rotation angle detecting portion, and a circuit board held by the housing. Both the torque detection magnetic sensors and the rotation angle detection magnetic sensors are mounted on the circuit board.

A torque detection device that further suppresses intrusion of foreign matter into a magnetism collection holder. A first magnetism collection holder has a first ring portion and a substrate housing portion. A second magnetism collection holder has a second ring portion and a substrate housing portion. A pair of flanges are provided on both side surfaces of the substrate housing portion. The substrate housing portion is provided with a partition wall to be fitted between the flanges. A substrate arrangement portion is provided with a partitioning portion and an extended portion. When the substrate housing portion and the substrate housing portion are stacked on each other, the extended portion is fitted with a recessed portion. The substrate arrangement portion is also provided with a partitioning portion. An extended portion to be fitted with the recessed portion is provided at the distal end of the partitioning portion.

Torque detection device and electric power steering system

A torque detection device capable of suppressing intrusion of static electricity thereinto. A magnetism collection unit includes magnetism collection rings, first and second magnetism collection holders that hold the magnetism collection rings, respectively, and a magnetic shield that covers the outer peripheries of the magnetism collection rings. The inner peripheral surface of the first magnetism collection holder is provided with recessed portions. The outer peripheral surface of the second magnetism collection holder is provided with engagement protrusions to be inserted into the recessed portions. The inner peripheral surface of the second magnetism collection holder is provided with recessed portions. The inner peripheral surface of the first magnetism collection holder is provided with protrusions that project toward the second magnetism collection holder. The protrusions are inserted into the recessed portions when the first magnetism collection holder and the second magnetism collection holder are assembled to each other.

There is provided a torque detector configured such that a magnetic shield is fixed to a holder without the need for a component for fixation of the magnetic shield, and no backlash is caused between the magnetic shield and the holder after the magnetic shield is fixed to the holder. The torque detector has engagement grooves into which a magnetic shield is to be inserted when the magnetic shield is fitted onto outer peripheral surfaces of a first holder and a second holder. The magnetic shield has end portions to be inserted into the engagement grooves, and each of the end portions is provided with engaging members that are always engaged with inner surfaces of the engagement grooves, respectively, while being inserted into the engagement grooves, to restrict movement of the end portions in the counter-insertion direction.

Torque detector

A sensor unit and a sensor apparatus are provided in which the size of the sensor unit itself is prevented from varying regardless of whether or not a redundant sensor is included, eliminating the need to change the design of a component to which the sensor unit is attached. Terminals of a sensor unit include a plurality of lead connection portions to which Hall ICs can be attached and a plurality of cable connection portions electrically connected to outside. The terminals are provided according to the number of sensors so as to enable the Hall ICs corresponding to two magnetic sensors to be attached to the terminals. A lead to the Hall IC corresponding to at least one magnetic sensor is connected to the terminals.

Sensor unit and magnetism collecting module and sensor apparatus

A circuit board assembly and a method of manufacturing the same is provided, by which, when external pressure is applied to a cover, deformation of the cover caused by the external pressure is suppressed and no adverse effect is produced to electronic components on a circuit board. A cover of a circuit board assembly includes a first cover to cover a first surface of a circuit board and a second cover to cover a second surface of the circuit board. A projection portion projects from an inner surface of the first cover. When a complete circuit board assembly is formed by insert-molding using the circuit board assembly as an insert part, the projection portion suppresses deformation of the first cover and the second cover.
