Provided is a resin composition that exhibits satisfactory impregnability into reinforcing fibers, while having rapid curability, and that is suitable for fiber-reinforced composite materials producing molded articles having high heat resistance. A two-pack resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials is configured of a base material including an epoxy resin (A) and a (meth)acrylate compound (B) having three or more (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule, and a curing agent including an amine compound (C) represented by the following general formula (1), a mass ratio of the base material to the curing agent being within the range of from 85:15 to 65:35, Wherein the epoxy resin (A) includes 75% by mass to 100% by mass of a bisphenol A epoxy resin; the base material has a viscosity of 10,000 mPa&#xb7;s or less; and the curing agent has a viscosity of 800 mPa&#xb7;s or less. X&#x2014;(CHNH) (1) (In the formula, X represents an n-valent organic group having 1 to 16 carbon atom; and n represents 2 or 3).

Resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials and fiber-reinforced composite material using same

Provided is a resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material that has low tackiness when turned into a prepreg, has satisfactory handleability, and can be suppressed in deformation at the time of its release from a mold in a PCM method. The resin composition is a resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material including, as essential components: a liquid epoxy resin (A); a novolac-type epoxy resin (B); a polymer component (C) having a molecular weight of 10,000 or more; dicyandiamide (D); and an imidazole-based curing aid (E), wherein the resin composition includes 10 parts by mass to 35 parts by mass of the liquid epoxy resin (A), and 10 parts by mass to 25 parts by mass of the polymer component (C) out of 100 parts by mass of the total of the components (A) to (E), and has a glass transition temperature of 0&#xb0; C. or more before its curing.

Curable epoxy resin composition and fiber-reinforced composite material using same

The present invention has an object to provide a resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials that excels in rapid curability without impairing low viscosity and heat resistance. A two-component curable resin for fiber-reinforced composite materials is provided, which is configured of a base material including an epoxy resin (A) and a curing agent including an amine compound (B) selected from either norbornane diamine or triethylenetetramine and a phenol compound (C), and in which a mass ratio of the base material to the curing agent is within the range of from 90:10 to 70:30, and the phenol compound (C) includes a phenol compound including two or more phenolic hydroxyl groups and is contained at 5% by weight to 35% by weight in the curing agent. A fiber-reinforced composite material is obtained by mixing reinforcing fibers in the resin composition for fiber-reinforced composite materials.

A resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material that makes it possible to improve productivity by suppressing deformation at the time of removal from a mold, in particular, in the PCM method, while achieving both rapid curing and storage stability. The resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material includes an epoxy resin (A) including a phenol novolac epoxy resin and a bisphenol A epoxy resin; a phenoxy resin (B); dicyandiamide (C); an imidazole-based curing aid (D); and a phenol-based curing accelerator (E) as essential components, wherein the phenol novolac epoxy resin of the epoxy resin (A) constitutes 40 parts by mass to 75 parts by mass, the bisphenol A epoxy resin constitutes 10 parts by mass to 35 parts by mass, and the phenoxy resin (B) constitutes 5 parts by mass to 15 parts by mass in the total of 100 parts by mass of the components (A) to (E).

Curable epoxy resin composition, and fiber-reinforced composite material using same

Provided is a resin composition that has satisfactory impregnability into reinforcing fibers due to low viscosity and small viscosity increase even in an impregnation process performed for a long time. The resin composition being suitable as a matrix resin for a fiber-reinforced composite material for producing a cured molded article that has toughness and fatigue resistance. The resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material includes an epoxy resin, an acid anhydride-based curing agent, an imidazole-based curing accelerator, a radically polymerizable monomer, and a radical polymerization initiator as essential components, has a viscosity at 25&#xb0; C. that falls within a range of 50 mPa&#xb7;s to 800 mPa&#xb7;s as measured by an E-type viscometer, and exhibits a viscosity increase ratio of 200% or less after 8 h at 25&#xb0; C., wherein 50% by mass or more of the acid anhydride-based curing agent is an alicyclic acid anhydride having no olefinic unsaturated bond.

Curable epoxy resin composition, fiber-reinforced composite material and molded body using same

Provided is a resin composition to be suitably used as the matrix resin of a fiber-reinforced composite material excellent in fatigue resistance. In the resin composition for a fiber-reinforced composite material, 50 mass % or more of an epoxy resin (A) includes a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin containing a compound represented by the following general formula (1) and a compound represented by the following general formula (2), and in gel permeation chromatography measurement, the phenol novolac-type epoxy resin contains a body corresponding to m=0 at a ratio of 75% by area or more and a body corresponding to m=1 at a ratio of 6% by area or less.
