A multilayer coil component includes an element body, a coil, and an external terminal. The element body includes a plurality of insulator layers that is laminated. The coil is disposed in the element body. The external terminal includes a plurality of conductor layers that is laminated. The external terminal is electrically connected to the coil. The element body includes a main face and a first side face adjacent to the main face. The external terminal is embedded in the element body in such a way as to be separated from the first side face and exposed from the main face. The external terminal includes a first separated face that is separated from the first side face as being separated from the main face.

In a multilayer coil component, a coil is disposed in an element body. The coil includes a plurality of coil conductors. The plurality of coil conductors include first, second, and third end portions. The first, second, and third end portions are exposed from the element body on a first surface and connected to a first external electrode. The first, second, and third end portions are arranged in order in a first direction when viewed from a second direction along the first surface and orthogonal to the first direction. The first end portion and the third end portion overlap each other when viewed from the first direction at least in part. Each of the first end portion and the third end portion has a region not overlapping the second end portion when viewed from the first direction.

A multilayer coil component includes: a through hole connecting portion electrically connecting an end portion of the coil portion and the external terminal, in which a coil pattern and a through hole pattern are formed in each of the plurality of layers, the through hole connecting portion is formed by mutually joining a plurality of the through hole patterns in the lamination direction, the through hole pattern in at least one first layer among the plurality of layers is shifted with respect to the through hole pattern in another second layer when viewed from the lamination direction, and, when viewed from the lamination direction, a distance between the through hole pattern in the first layer and a coil pattern in the first layer is farther than a distance between the through hole pattern in the second layer and the coil pattern in the first layer.

A coil component includes an exterior body, a coil, and a pair of terminal electrodes. The coil is disposed inside the exterior body. The pair of terminal electrodes are electrically connected to the coil and are disposed on the exterior body. The exterior body includes a first portion that covers the coil and is made of a resin, and a second portion including a side surface on which the pair of terminal electrodes are disposed. The second portion includes a material having a relative permittivity lower than a relative permittivity of the resin and is disposed between the coil and the pair of terminal electrodes.
