A motor device and a method for producing same are provided. A connector storage unit () and a substrate storage unit () which are provided in a gear case () open in a direction (axial direction of output shaft) which intersects the axial direction of an armature shaft. As a result, when assembling a motor device (), it is possible to store a connector member () and a control substrate () in the connector storage unit () and the substrate storage unit (), which have comparatively large openings, by insertion therein from the same direction.

Method for producing motor device

An object of the present invention is to provide an electric motor which can prevent electric noise generated from a contact between a brush and a commutator from being radiated and diffused to the outside. An electric motor comprises: an armature shaft; a coilattached to the armature shaft; a commutatorattached to the armature shaft, and electrically connected to the coil; a brush through which an electric current is supplied to the commutator; a conductive shaft bearingconfigured to rotatably support the armature shaft; a yokeincorporated with the shaft bearing, and electrically connected to a ground conductor; a conductive shaft bearingarranged in a direction along a center line of the armature shaft, different in position from the shaft bearing, and configured to rotatably support the armature shaft; and a contact plateelectrically connected to the shaft bearing, and electrically connected to the ground conductor.

A metal gear cover, which is provided so as to cover a worm wheel housing, is disposed between a worm wheeland a circuit boardand grounded, thereby quickly introducing exogenous noise 'ON' such as static electricity to the outside of the sunroof motor, even if exogenous noise 'ON' enters the sunroof motorand reaches the gear cover. Therefore, it is possible to surely prevent exogenous noise &#x201c;ON&#x201d; from being reflected to the circuit board, and causing the circuit boardto malfunction and the like. Furthermore, it is possible to improve reliability of the sunroof motor

A seal member is attached to a cover which occludes a gear case as a housing unit. The seal member is formed of elastomer and integrally formed with: a plate-shaped portion formed into a disc shape which covers the inner surface of the cover; an inner seal portion which is positioned on the inner peripheral edge of a through-hole, and comes into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of an output member; an outer seal portion which is positioned on the periphery of the cover, and comes into contact with the opening end of the housing unit; and anchor portions which latch onto the front surface of the cover via mounting holes provided to the cover. The boundary between the seal member and the cover extends only to the outside of the gear case, and does not extend to the inside of the gear case.
