A display includes a touch sensor panel, a panel controller, a case, and a signal generation circuit. The touch sensor panel includes a touch sensor. The panel controller measures a capacitance of the touch sensor. The case accommodates the display, in which at least the touch sensor panel and the panel controller are disposed. The signal generation circuit is capable of applying an AC signal to a ground of the panel controller. The case is electrically connected to the ground of the panel controller. When the signal generation circuit applies the AD signal to the ground, the panel controller measures the capacitance of the touch sensor.

In a touch panel device, an output control unit controls a process of outputting touch information acquired by a sensing unit and a touch detection unit of a touch sensor panel to host equipment, where the information indicates presence or absence and a coordinate of a touch of an indicator to the touch sensor panel. A state sensing unit senses an operation state of the sensing unit or the touch detection unit. A state restoration unit restores the sensing unit or the touch detection unit in the abnormal state to a normal state, based on a detection result of the state sensing unit. Upon detecting an abnormal state in the state sensing unit, an output control unit stops an output of the touch information to the host equipment for a fixed period of time.

A vector data selection unit selects, from a vector file of a past line graph, each vector data of a time period where a new line graph overlaps. An attribute value setting unit sets, of the vector data selected, a high transparency degree value to oldest vector data, sets a low transparency degree value to newest vector data, and sets an intermediate transparency degree value to intermediate vector data. A graph display unit displays a portion of a time period of the past line graph where the new line graph overlaps, with a gradation.

A coordinate input device and a touch panel device determine a correction value with a plurality of output values obtained from a plurality of sensors arranged in a touch panel based on the output value of a 1st peak sensor that outputs the largest output value, the output value of a 2nd peak sensor having the second largest output value, the output value of a 3rd peak sensor having the third largest output value, and the output value of a 4th peak sensor having the fourth largest output value.
