A sheet discharge apparatus includes a main tray, a discharge unit, and an expansion tray. The main tray is pivotable between a closed position and open position relative to a sheet discharge apparatus main body. The discharge unit discharges the sheet onto the main tray in the closed position. The expansion tray expands a main tray stacking area and is movable between a storage position where the expansion tray is stored in the main tray and an expansion position where the expansion tray is slid from the storage position in a sheet discharge direction and expands the stacking area. At the expansion position, the expansion tray is pivotable independently of the main tray. A direction in which the expansion tray is pivoted upward is the same as a direction in which the main tray is pivoted from the closed to the opened position.

Sheet discharge apparatus and image forming apparatus including the same

A sheet stacking apparatus includes a body, a stacking portion which a sheet is stacked, a width regulating portion configured to move between a first position and a second position closer to a center of the stacking portion in a width direction orthogonal to a sheet feeding direction than the first position, and including a regulating surface configured to regulate a position, in the width direction, of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, and a supporting portion pivotably supporting the stacking portion. The supporting portion is disposed on the body and closer to the center of the stacking portion in the width direction, than the regulating surface of the width regulating portion positioned at the first position.

Sheet stacking apparatus and image forming apparatus

The image forming apparatus includes a sheet storing unit insertably and pullably attached to the frame unit, an image forming unit, and a frame unit. The frame unit includes two frame members parallel to each other with a predetermined distance therebetween and are connected and fixed to each other. The two frame members respectively include engaged portions. The sheet storing unit includes engaging portions respectively engageable with the engaged portions in a state where the sheet storing unit is inserted in the frame unit. In a state where the engaging portions respectively engage with the engaged portions, the engaging portions that respectively engage with the engaged portions and a portion between the two engaging portions of the sheet storing unit serve as strengthening members to regulate deformation of the two frame members by at least a predetermined amount.

A sheet stacking apparatus has a rotating portion provided in an operation member to rotate around a first rotation fulcrum, an elastic portion provided in the operation member to be elastically deformed by the rotating portion being rotated, and a disengaging portion that rotates an engaging portion between an engagement position and a disengagement position by the elastic portion being elastically deformed.

Sheet stacking apparatus, sheet feeding apparatus, and image forming apparatus

A sheet conveying apparatus, including: a sheet conveying path; a reconveying path, which is branched from the sheet conveying path; a sheet conveying portion which conveys a sheet, which is conveyed through the sheet conveying path, selectively between in a forward direction and in a reverse direction toward the reconveying path; and a control portion which controls the sheet conveying portion to temporarily convey, in the middle that the sheet conveying portion conveys a preceding sheet in the reverse direction toward the reconveying path, the preceding sheet in the forward direction together with a succeeding sheet, and thereafter convey the preceding sheet in the reverse direction toward the reconvening path and the succeeding sheet in the forward direction respectively.

Sheet conveying apparatus and image forming apparatus

A sheet feed device includes a sheet stacking portion that has a rotation stacking portion which is rotatable, a sheet feed roller that feeds the sheet stacked in the sheet stacking portion, and a separating portion that separates the sheet fed by the sheet feed roller. The rotation stacking portion is configured to be rotatable about a rotation fulcrum on a downstream side in a sheet feed direction.
